Growing up in Belize "stew beans" was always a staple on our weekly menu. This is how my mom taught me to cook it. It goes well with rice or flour tortillas.

👩🏻🍳 BELIZEAN STEW BEANS
1 lb red kidney beans
7 to 9 cups water
2 tbs oil
half of an onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tsp salt
Cook on high 6-7 hours in a crock pot.
