The reason 70's 80's and 90's R&B was so good is because these guys didn't talk about "cars, jewelry, money, designer clothes and just fucking" they song about how to think about your woman to love your woman and to respect her and how a relationship really goes. Am I the only one who thought Ricky was the most underrated vocalist of New Edition? Johnny undoubtably had the powerful voice; Ralph the vocal-range; and Bobby the showmanship, but BBD showcased talent by Ricky that many were unaware of.
