Here is a Bell + Howell (Emson) socket ceiling fan from December 2022. I think it is very cool that socket fans are being made again. They are a very cool concept. This fan includes a remote control with a wall mount. I hope you enjoy this video!

Oh man, I want one of these! But I would only be able to put it in the laundry room or garage of my parents house, those are the only places with bulb sockets that can handle it.

Good demo of features. I've read that these socket fans are only 8-10" in diameter and that they don't work well if installed higher than 8 feet.

Lowe’s. It is a new item and they were still in the large plain boxes up high on the shelves! Luckily a worker was able to wheel a ladder over and hand me them.

How many inches does it hang down? Does it go in reverse?

Not sure exactly how far but it is very compact. It does not go in reverse.

Mine worked right away. I just screwed it in and the remote was functioning.

@@NickTubeFansI ended up returning it and getting my money back for it I’ll try again sometime later I’ll admit the concept is very cool especially in small spaces

@thegingerfanman92 There could have been something wrong with the remote. Did you ever remove the piece of paper from it? If not, that's why it doesn't work. Otherwise, the battery might be dead, or it could be an issue with your socket. Additionally, if your fan motor is not working, that could also be a reason.

@@rubyhedgewood7124 I did but it turns out the motor was bad on it from the production line I ended up returning it to the store I still never bought a replacement one but eventually I plan on it there’s three different places in my area that sells them which is Walmart Home Depot and Lowes and they’re all around $50 so hopefully the next one I do get works better

Tell me about it! But then again, this is a powerful little sucker. Not to mention how bright the LED is. I guess I can see why its expensive. but still, these should be priced lower.

I am not very pleased with the Bell * Howell Socket Fan! The fan was installed in our master bathroom and did not provide us with any coolness! The light was sufficient for the space since there is an alternate light in the same space! I would not recommend this particular socket light to anyone! Typically, ceiling fans have a button that allows you to push air upward or downward. This was not an option and possibly the key to forcing down cool air…. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I would rate this socket fan a 1. If not satisfied, the customer should have the option of returning this item within 10-14 days of purchase for a full refund!
