Spent the last month bringing a ultra T back to life. 91 feet of hydraulic hose and 28 connections this week. Many screenshots of your videos where so helpful in routing hoses . The rotation is only turning about 20 degrees in either direction and it is leaking out the bottom of the rotator. It only has 4 recessed Allen bolts in it. Henry @ Zambezee says it will be a bear to get apart but we will get it. I made about 6 cuts with it yesterday and the chain kept stopping. I only have 150 psi of air and I’m told I need 250-300 of c o 2 . Bar cylinder is repacked and has a new hose to the tank . Bar speed out is around 6 seconds. 404 chain. I saw a leak on the bottom of the chain drive motor after it sat awhile yesterday . Thank you for all your Bell videos they are so helpful. I ran one mid - late 90s but never worked on it 😂 . Back to school

Got any vids of this mate? I’m in Australia and are currently doing a ground up restoration of a tracked bell there won’t be anything on ours untouched when done so always looking to see other projects for inspiration

@@jeffbussell4001 I can post some soon. I cut 2 trees down with it today. My rotator and sawbar motor are both leaking so that’s next to do.

Hey, thanks for the comment! It sounds like you have been busy with your bell project. Is it a wheel machine or track? I’m glad the videos have been helpful to you. Does your rotator look like the one on my machine or is it the old style?

@@jeffbussell4001 hey,are you working on the same machine as Harry Castles? I think he was in Australia too?

@@GBLogging mine is a rubber tire. Not sure on the year. Late 80s early 90s. The rotation is first gen. It only has 4 allens and I will make a wrench to unscrew it. Apparently there is an obsolete seal in the bottom so I’m going to take it apart tomorrow. I’ve been working on hose the last 2 weeks and have everything from the valve body to the head new. Saw motor is leaking bad out the bottom as well. Henry @ Zambezee has given me guidance twice now on setting bar speed and tank pressure. Thank you for all the info and video it’s very helpful. This head does have tilt on it. The one I ran in the 90s didn’t. You kinda swung it out grabbed and slid down to make a cut. I plan on upgrading and going 3/4

Good video Gabe 👍🏻 I’ve been using ours some I’m liking it more and more. I just need more practice on it

It takes a bit to learn how to run them and for sure how to use them to their full potential. But once you do, you will love it!

That chain got a tooth or raker broke?
@GBLogging10 күн бұрын
Not that I know of. Generally if a rakers broke itl lock up the chain
@allenmccall502110 күн бұрын
@@GBLogging never had mine lock up but that chatter I could hear is what mine does every time it has a broke tooth or raker. Hard to keep the chain tight when it's like that lol
@GBLogging10 күн бұрын
@@allenmccall5021 yeah the 3/4 chain chatters a little more than the 404. And yeah I built a tensioner to keep the chain tight and it helps a lot.
@allenmccall502110 күн бұрын
@@GBLogging mine never does it unless it got a bad or broken tooth. Its a 3/4 also. It will a little if I get too much hook ground in it. You mean a tensioner for when you put it on or something that keeps tension on it all the time?
