Hiii guys! I thought it would be fun to start painting on games. The last time I painted on a game, I painted on Tic-Tac-Toe. Also known as "Knoughts and Crosses" in the UK. In today's video, I'll be painting on Jenga. I customized it with colors and designs that are in my style. I hope you like it!

Hi, my name is Marissa (AKA Bellamena)! Making videos about art is my favorite thing to do. I'm not a professional artist or anything (I'm actually a Computer Scientist 🤓) , but I have a lot of fun trying to make stuff look cute. I think it looks great. Those colors are always so pretty together! Definitely invest in some gesso. It'll probably save you money in the end bc of fewer coats. I use it on all my paintings that turn out badly to hide allllll my mistakes so I can start over!

Fun! I've actually had a box of mini jenga set aside in my things-to-paint box for a couple months--I guess I'm not the only one with that idea =P A year or two ago, I customized Guess Who with monsters. I thought very carefully about the balance of features, made a chart, drew and colored them all, digitized them, and sized them to the two different sizes of Guess Who cards (the modern, remade game has differently sized cards than the classic one). It was a fun project! I don't know if my nieces ever play it, but let's not talk about that 😅

Hi Bella I love your channel and it’s a huge inspiration for mine. Thanks for all the fun content Ps. Gesso is basically white paint with plaster in it and it helps make paint stick due to the plaster and also is more opaque then white paint and the plaster keeps paint from absorbing in only one coat

I feel like there are a lot of options for chess. In my mind, I would love to see a MARVEL vs DC chess board. Not with the chess pieces being character figures. But like, the king could be painted red and white and blue with a star to resemble Captain America and a pawn could be painted red with a lightning bolt to resemble The Flash and so on. But that's just cause I'm a superhero fanatic. For your style, you could still do chess, but do more animal-like with the chess pieces!

I just had a really weird idea 😂😂 Wood absorbs a lot of paint... so what if you... marinate it instead? Probably more work and/or mess than it is worth, but it would be a really fun experiment!!! Simply *plopping* the wood in a paint pan and letting it soak before removing it and smoothing it out with a paint brush. Maybe you would only have to do one layer?! 😍 I have no idea, but I wanted to share because the thought made me laugh!!! Also, I would not have expected to like these colors together as much as I do. I absolutely love the contrast of the peacock blue with the other two, so I think you can and should use it more often because it is one of your favorites!!!

I dont know if its called the same thing where u live but you could customise guess who. Change the people with your own characters! Then u could say is it a bunny? Yes. Flick down the non bunnies and so on. It would be so fun to play!!!

You could get stackable bear (I think there are other animals version too) to paint on. My nephews had some and I always wanted to paint them. Also dominoes and finger hockey (the game where you try and sling your puck into the other person goal).

Instead of using gesso on wood, buy a quart of latex primer at the hardware store. I always use that on wood when I’m painting on it. I haven’t had any problem using acrylic paints with it. And I’m a little behind on your videos, and catching up, so sorry for the late comment! ♥️

I see the mini version of this at dollar tree and have been tempted to paint them. Maybe i will now that you have. This is one of my favorite games. the rules are you can't pull from the top you can only do from 3 complete columns down and you can only use one hand once you move a block you have to continue with that chosen one regardless of if it topples the tower or not. Another name is toppling towers for the generic versions I'd love to see you do a checkers set

If you want your Jenga to be more fun and less boring, you should use a paint marker or pen and write funny rules on each of the blocks. My brothers and I customized a set of jenga and we all put different rules on the blocks, and it’s hilarious.

I love that you did Jenga! It’s so cute! You’ve gotten me inspired to start the customization process of my own wooden games, starting with Jenga! Gamenights are going to be so fun! I was thinking of other wooden games for you to customize and other then chess, which Moriah Elizabeth it probably going to be customizing in the near future this puzzel game tangram came to mind. And I would assume that Domino’s would come in a wood edition, that could be fun too 😊

I strongly recommend you to invest in some gesso! Gesso isn’t paint, it’s a mixture of glue and chalk basically, so it adheres really well to almost every surface, it has an amazing coverage (you’re good with one coat usually) and it gives the perfect texture for the paint to stick and spread nicely. And I believe Gesso exists in different colors, I’m almost sure there is a transparent one and a black one

Cute! I love those colors.....(I guessed the Blue color Before you showed it! Lol 😊) I love bright colors and tend to gravitate towards "Red, Blues and Purple" and then "Lime, Orange, hot pink and Yellow ". But I Loathe Grey. But I like "Browns and Black".....White and Creams are nice too. Ps .....I hope that your pregnancy is going well?

The finished Jenga game looks so good! And the blue blocks do remind me of wafer type biscuits. I remember we used to get these pink wafers, with like red stripes, I guess of like, strawberry flavouring. It was a good idea to incorporate some of your favourite colours. For the Guess Who game, will you be drawing pictures of your characters? I'd love to see Edgy Hedgy and Harriet on there! Do you have any unicorn characters? 😊

In my experience gesso would lower the layers to 1 or 2 instead of 4 basecoats

How functional were they after they are painted? Do they still slide easily? I found some at a thrift store and want to do this, but just curious about the functional aspect of it? Love the video!
