What most people don't understand is Kory Moegenburg(1st fight) was scheduled to fight at 185lbs but his opponent tested positive for covid just a couple days before weigh ins. He literally jumped up not 1 but 2 weight classes to fill in at heavyweight. My hat goes off to all of the athletes that competed

I was %100 going to tell everyone this in the comments. He fought really well despite his disadvantages and I wish people would appreciate this. His opponent had to have around at least 20 extra pounds of muscle.

Casual in the live chat: "Why is he 4-8 he doesn't look that bad?" Me (who knows a lot of pro fighters personally): I know fighters with records of 16-13 who have dedicated their entire lives to this sport, you can have all the knowledge and skill in the sport and get caught, hell at least once a week I see a lesser skilled fighter with more confidence win a fight they have no business winning, Even Charon Spain is from my area and he has a record of 17-34... the dude has dedicated his life to this. It doesn't always translate to the cage, I know fighters who have trained 10+ years just to give up after 5 amateur fights. Hell I know guys in their 40's who have been training since they were teenagers who are still fighting in the amateur ranks. There are levels to this and there will always be levels. Just knowing technique is not enough and will never be enough. Literally 75% of fighters that have wins on the pro circuit is pure luck. If that uppercut in the third round was 1 inch to the left, they get knocked out, if their opponent notices an opening, it's night night time, one tiny slip up on the ground and that fighter is tapping out. There is literally ZERO room for mistakes in professional MMA. Amateur is often much worse because 9/10 amateur shows don't drug test and even 80-90% of the amateur fighters are taking steroids, except they aren't being held accountable the majority of the time, my amateur fights have NEVER drug tested or had me pee in a cup, they even let me go into cage fights with an irregular heartbeat. LMAO

@@Nalaislonley_ no he’s not 😂😂 kid crosses his feet when he steps into range and doesn’t understand how to turn his hip over when he’s throwing that straight right so it’d have the power come from his legs and not be an arm punch ..you can’t talk about someone being a beast when they beat up somebody that 99% of the people in the crowd could do the same thing too 😂

Moegenburg was supposed to fight at 185 and he even made weight, but his original opponent pulled out because he had Covid. Through out the week he jumped 2 weight classes so he wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to fight in Bellator, despite being in a huge disadvantage. Schoefelder was supposed to fight someone that was far bigger than him, but Bellator pulled out his opponent because they were afraid he would make weight, and then get heavier putting Schoefelder at a disadvantage.

Considering last four losses were to LFA champ, two UFC fighters and a bellator entrance. Also moved from being lined up at 170.. opponent change 5 Days prior moved to middleweight. Below 180 when changed. Sure maybe not top of the line.. but I know who doesn't have a padded record. The 4-8 guy. With also over 20 fights missing on paper between ammy and pro records. Being South Dakota wasn't sanctioned until 2014.. being active since 06, half a record unrecorded. Again, maybe not top of the feeding pool .. but I'll agree, the set up wasn't on point. Often the case on undercards. Just stating my side 🤙

That fight was def not Fabio hahah. He laid on the guy the whole fight, got 2 good takedowns and did nothing with them. Just tired out johnson but not even enough to slip a submission attempt. Pathetic lol
