Because her whole schtick is an act, look at how she was before starting the belle delphine thing she was a cute alt girl sure but she created a personality that got her to blow up on the internet and get rich while doing whatever. Its an act she’s not dumb at all and is actually pretty intelligent. It has its effect on her psychological well being and makes her drink but she can still be thoughtful and normal. I think we all have these deep feelings, likes, emotions or human side we hide, and we rarely show, it doesn't matter what people see or think, what we are inside is what really matters, and it's pretty cool to see this side of Belle too :)
