I can't imagine any business giving this woman and her service horse any trouble - Flirty 'heels' better than 90% of dogs out there, and she's not sniffing merchandise, interacting with the public, or eating food off the floor! I would be honored to meet up with this service animal team in some random store with my own service dog - at least I wouldn't have to worry about Flirty lunging or barking at my service dog like I do with so many of the dogs we come across out in public!

Slight correction - service animals CAN go to pools and water parks, just not in the actual water.

It’s a shame we have such evil people who would have to audacity to tell a person to take their own life. That’s a sick evil person. It’s just a miniature horse for goodness sake, leave the woman and her service animal alone. She’s doing what she needs to do for her. I’m looking into what type of service dog I will need down the line. I’ve never seen these before, but I think it’s super cool. My children knew about them, and told me, so now I’m researching.

It's lovely to see the horse being shown to have the ability to know when she is stressed. If people have never had PTSD then they have no comprehension on such a disabling problem. Many men who came home from the Vietnam War slept with rifles next to them would have been diagnosed as having PTSD. Instead of being told to, sadly, "just get over it " . With medical recognition of PTSD att, suicide numbers would have been lower. It wasn't the case, though. It's wonderful this medical problem is now accepted as real and this little horse is helping this lady. An old saying is true" Don't judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes".

Exactly, I have CPTSD, Hypoklemia, Hypoglycemia and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and that's not the one people got from covid. And I have bad days, unfortunately many businesses around me particularly retail like to allow fake posers in to make profit off of them at the expense of actual handlers like myself and my service animal. We then as a result of that get people including the police thinking it's okay to come up to us whether or not we are walking around getting things or in the checkout to just try to talk to my service dog tell my service dog how good he is behaving ask me the breed anything and everything that could be considered distracting a service dog from their job they are literally doing and part of it is again people come in there with but you are not service the animals and they get money off of it and then these people come in there for attention-seeking and validation and they let people touch their dog and pet their dog and act like you know everything's fine to violate Federal Ada law because then the next time around when they actually see somebody with a legit service animal they think they can come up there with their kid or themselves and start doing the same crap to them and when you call it out on them they get all upset they throw a tantrum they're like but but why can't I because the person you probably saw before was a fake poser that's why, if you knew Federal Ada law what you're doing is considered malicious intent to cause harm to the Handler by your behavior and your actions call me yes is he coming up and bothering us asking his name trying to talk to my service animal, you're not supposed to be trying to get his attention telling him what a good job he is and you know all this stuff to try to distract him you should know better. Unfortunately after you make claims unless you have the actual proof in the pudding they don't do anything so like other handlers I am actually putting a little mini camera on my service animal so if it does happen I have the recording I have the proof they can't hide behind a hearsay and they can't sleep in under the rug and they're going to take it instant action on it cuz they actually have the video of it, cuz a lot of businesses will try to erase the recording of what happened in the incident and and like about what really happened because they don't want to get held accountable. I've even been told I had no rights and I should be ashamed of myself for having to use a medical handicap parking spot, or because I'm using a harness with a special handlebar that many people you know you as something that would be used for someone who's blind but are completely unaware and completely ignorant to the fact that some handlers have medical conditions you cannot see that cause instability of coordination balance vertigo things like that can put them off kilter and that is why I specifically have that type of handlebar attached to my service dog harness what regardless of his glasses on or not or his jacket is on or not during the winter and rainy time you know I have some stuff on it that shows the same stuff and all medical or give us space and it's just unfortunately people that serious type you based off your parents and because you don't look disabled enough to them they say you have you can't have that dog without a leash on them in the store I've had a pet store that you can try to explain you know my medical condition you may not think but that causes a dangerous situation for the Handler and the service dog if you have a medical condition like mine that's a group version and I have even dislocated my wrist my arm broken it because of the situation of having a leash so yeah I'm doing it a different way because I have a right to because of a medical condition. But again I get met with condescending remarks so you don't look disabled enough you're not physically handicapped you're not blind you should always have your dog on a leash undermining that I have a harness with a handlebar and I do Let It Go when I'm putting stuff in my grocery cart and I continue to seem to get more of these malicious attacks by seniors saying I don't look disabled how dare I you know mock blinds people and physically handicapped and how do I take the handicap parking spot from one of them it's like are you kidding me do you really think I want to be in this situation until there's a cure for this there's my service dog and I have a medical condition just because you can't see it and people are ignorant to the fact that there's many other medical conditions outside of mental illness and psychiatric in which somebody would have off leash using a harness and handle method or a tether method for their safety because of the medical condition and that does not make them any lesser of a human being there and it doesn't give anyone right to undermine them and their dignity by chastising you based off of your parents and I can't tell you how many times I've been told to move my car from a handicap parking spot and they assumed I was like 30 years old I'm 40 and that somehow I might have taken my family's relatives handicap sticker and stuck in my car I've had to deal with explaining and showing on police a paperwork for my doctor's office at specifically says here's all the medical conditions this is why I have my service dog and it has an are accurate with the diagnosis and my service dog size breed and everything he does for me and it's just like I have to take that out just to actually get a point across to a business or when I'm being really hounded by people when I'm getting out of my car or getting into my car and they become very hostile towards me and my service animal because they don't think I have a right to have a parking spot as if it were a physical disability should be only that because I use a harness with the handle instead of a leash that shame on me for trying to act like I'm blind and I'm not because he refused to look at the fact that there could be other medical conditions they can't see.

We get very similar responses here in Central North Carolina. My service animal and me often have to put up with a barrage of people always coming up to ask to pet my horse or take pictures with it. It's no big deal, I just kindly let them know that she's working and move on about my business. Good luck pursuing Federal action with your discrimination case. I had a case several years ago and the Department of Justice and the department of the Interior told me that they had way too many claims to pursue mine at the current time.

That's why many like myself are actually taking initiative and putting a camera on her service animals so that if we go in places we can activate the cam if something happens we have to prove and they can't sweep it under the rug and and undermine what just happened. And another thing people don't seem to understand it's just cuz you don't look this is Abel doesn't mean you're not disabled and there's a lot of people who assume that if you don't look disabled it's a mental condition that you have, when in fact a lot of times that is not the case and the person is not mentally unstable they have a medical condition you cannot see and it's not activated at that time. So don't judge them based off of their appearance. This is not an invalid argument.

I'm going to tell you right off the back by every comment she's made it sounds like she has a emotional support task trained horse and not a service horse because I'll tell you for a service horses ears would never be back like that neither should a service animals ears be back like that cuz they're stressed and anxiety and fear you can tell she hasn't even gone that horse properly accumulated and decompressed into the environment that they're going to be going to frequently because if she did that horses Behavior there in terms of the ears and the way it was looking shows me it doesn't want to be there it needs more training and and she comes off as the type of person who will say her animals a service animal when it's just an emotional support task trained animal and yeah you can train them all you want but if it's for emotional support for your stress anxiety and all that which is an Esa not a service animal you're making it up because you want attention-seeking and validation and your harming literally legitimate handlers with service animals including service horses because I'll tell you I know people who have service horses and the horses don't have their ears back like that and they don't look like they're stressed and anxious they look comfortable because they've been adjusted to the places to decompress in a simulate and I don't see her doing any of that behavior that shows me she's a Handler by her actions it seems to be all about Texas City validation for her but undermining the Stress and Anxiety that she's pushing on to her horse because he's not comfortable with what is going on and that is something she needs to rectify if she's truly a Handler it's not about her it's about how she and horse wouldn't be responding to her and acting like that with the ears back the tail down flushing irritably if she was on the same page she needs to go back to training and work with her horse and be on that same level with the horse because otherwise it's all about her and I can say that's what it's coming across is she wants emotional support horse and she's going to claim it as a service animal and it's not because if it was she would not be treating her horse the way she's doing, and that horse would not be agitated frustrated and scared and fearful I'm worried that she's been taking her her anger or something out on the horse because the horse should not be eating like that and you can tell a good Handler and a service animal well it's a horse or a dog because they are in sync with one another and they are calm and they are not stressed and their ears aren't back and their tail is not swishing the Handler has to be aware of the well-being and safety and the connection with the horse or their dog and they have to make sure that they're comfortable at all times she clearly doesn't care about her horse like that.

It's context- you can't look at _just_ a horse's ears. You have to look at their whole body. A stressed horse will not walk that calmly, with her body relaxed and her head down. If she were stressed out, there'd be a lot more head tossing, pawing, and tail swishing going on. This horse is just VERY focused on the job.

My guess is she after making this video is being called out for putting her horse as an emotional support Esa task train animal which there are those as a certain and claiming it to be a service animal when it's not because if it were they would be on the same synchronized level in terms of comfortableness her service animal would be ability to assimilate and decompress when going into environments and not showing the fear and anxiety the switching of the tail the ears back or I'll tell signs that she just wanted to get a horse for touch to think about validation and when she feels like it she wants people coming up to give her attention and validation for her victimhood of depression and all that stuff but then there are days where she doesn't want that because she's having supposedly bad days you can't pick both things it's either as a Handler and with a service animal you don't want people bothering you and your service animals they can do their damn job or you fake pose it like this lady clearly is and bring your animal and just for a touch of seeking validation and want people coming up to touch your animal but now that she's on the news she knows she can't do that because people will then call her out so she's afraid of getting caught and this is what posters do they want to make themselves to be something or not and then when they get called out and they get caught you know they're going to be held accountable for it. I feel really bad for her horse because clearly she doesn't care enough about the horses safety and well-being because if she did she'd be getting that horse out there outside of that place and working to train with them so they are comfortable going everywhere they are not and that horse is not showing any signs of comfortable in this the horses on edge because of her behavior as well as being in a place that that horse is not had enough time to decompress and get used to is on the job of the Handler to make sure that doesn't happen and that the horse or the dog is as comfortable as can be and are okay in the setting and surrounding and you go there multiple times so that they get adjusted and decompress

Miniature Service Horses are the only exceptions to dogs under the ADA. They excel at mobility and balance assistance, and have 2-3 times the working span of a service dog. They are actually starting to get fairly well known most because of their working lifespan. In one horses working lifespan you can go through 3-4 service dogs, that's a lot of money and time you can save. There's a good article out there on a gentleman with type 1 diabetes who after his first service was retired decided to switch to a mini service horse for the lifespan. She's not looking for attention, nor does she want it. I actually know this handler and though sometimes she can come off as aggressive at times, she definitely doesn't want attention. Just like an actual service dog handler, they don't want people's attention, they want the people to ignore thier service animal as if it was a wheelchair.

Really? She has a mental illness. Which is the same as a physical illness. Under the ADA service animals are allowed anywhere the person goes. Service animals can be miniature horses and dogs. How would you like it if people say that you are faking it if you have a broken leg? You wouldn’t like it, would you? I didn’t think so. So don’t say that to people who has mental illnesses.
