I've never heard of a church specifically devoted to praying for plagues... That's not what I think of when I think of Venice. This is my all-time favorite depiction of John the Baptist - such beautiful curls.. The ombre fabric on Job and the expression on St. Sebastian also grab my attention. I wouldn't look quite like that peppered with arrows, but his dreamy expression is lovely.

Cette peinture est très belle et cette couleur bleue est magnifique,et les pigments bleus devaient coûter très chers à cette époque. Pour la ''perspective'',est-ce que la Vierge et l'enfant ne sont-ils pas un peu trop grand par rapport au 1er plan?...

I think It Is intentional, to synbologyse importance of the main protagonist of the painting. And also becouse It was Maria, the most important women in christianity

Bellini , now I remember he is more than a cocktail, of course. I’m an idiot! The pyramid and triangles are depicted inconspicuously in Leonardo’s last supper too.
