You'll need the decomposed food later for making fertilizer for the farm. Don't get rid of it like I did. I probably tossed about 50 of them and wish I hadn't.

Brutal survival game this . Correct as much food in the summer to get you through the winter.

The food in the trap will start to decompose as soon as it is caught.

if you disassemble the trap, you can just place it back down without having to replace it with a new one. I believe that is a glitch, but for the time being I am just doing that.
