No, I do not ship Snily. In fact, I do not have very positive feelings towards Snape at all lol. But doing this video was actually a lot of fun, hope yall like it!

The whole vid is such a masterpiece but I couldn't help but pointing out my favorite part: 0:35 Lily & Severus were nailing their Potion class (while The Marauders just naturally sucked at it lol) I can totally imagine that xD 0:47 The rope manips OMG 1:07 1:32 The dialogue is genius - he's truly so good for this fancast 1:23 THIS IS INSANEEEEEEEE 1:42 The prankkkkkkkk *crying and throwing up* 1:46 - 1:52 asadjaklklj WHAT is this? She roasted him so good as much as you're killing me 2:16 WAIT who was he using on? OMG This is just beyond ✨PERFECT✨ Yeah same, like I'm not a big fan of Snape either, but watching this really gave me some kind of strange satisfaction lmao. Aneurin is the best fancast for him in my opinion, make the character more likable for me. The tragic part that I think Lily did love him. Not kind of love love, but she once truly cared about him and saw him as her important person in her life. It must hurt her to watch her close friend go to the dark side then lose him forever. Btw amazing work as always dear 🥺❤️

LISTEN you are one of the few people who would make me watch a video of these two cause my dislike for snape goes beyond anything in this world. But you are so freaking talented!!! like, the manips are insane and you totally portrayed that friendship they had and how lily tried so hard to help him and keep him as a friend but eventually noticed that he was really going dark. amazing!

Maybe but what bothers is me that some fans seem to act like it's a case of "evil" James took lily away from him when Snape lost Lily by his "own" actions. Plus, Lily never had romantic feelings for Snape. But some fans like acting like Lily up and got with James as he was in SWM when we're told James deflated his head and grew as a person (which Rowling's own words condone).

@@Tasha9315frr, Snape ruined that friendship himself. I mean he was friends with people who bullied others using dark magic and he kept on defending his friends by saying that is was just for fun. And then Lily herself says that Snape called ALL muggleborns mudbloods, which shows that he clearly was a blood supermascist and when he called her one she had no excuses left to make for him. And at that point she might have forgiven them but then when she asked him about joining Voldemort he said nothing and their friendship ended with " you've chosen your side and I've chosen mine". Like what did James have to do with that. Then he went on to join the death eaters even though their main goal was to kill people like Lily and that's why their friendship ended. And then soon many people hate on Lily. The number of people I've seen saying that Lily was over reacting by ending their friendship over and "insult". Like what. It's clearly build up from ages of disagreeing with his actions and motives. And then they say that she was a horrible person for getting with James. And they claim that she went for James because he was rich?? Like Lily didn't owe Snape anything at all. And James matured and grew up by the time Lily decided to give him a chance. People just can't believe that some people have a capability to change . Like I literally got in an argument a few days ago with a guy saying that he didn't believe that James didn't know about the "prank" and tried to kill Snape and when he got caught he blamed it on Sirius to not loose his chance with Lily. Likemit doesn't even make sense, why would have have saved Snape then. Like at thus point they're just villainizing him to make Snape and his actions look better

OH MY! I finally have a chance to properly watch it on full screen and I'm in absolte awe! I have the same feelings about sinily and snape in general but still their relationship is interesting and surely a great source of inspiration to edit!!!! I love that Aneurin fancast got normalized (I do think I might have started that indeed hahah i'm not sorry at all looking at the results now!) and i'm absolutely in love about how you used his scenes for that

Your video is a masterpiece 😍😍😍😍😍😍 I must have watched it over a thousand times already (sorry for not commenting until now). Thank god there are people out there who don't gloryfie Snape for being in love with someone. Snape-stans seem to forget that his "undying love" didn't stop him from joining a hate group set on wiping out her kind. IN LOVE with the way you managed to capture the complicated bond between the two of them SO perfectly! They were close in their childhood but started drifting apart during their time at Hogwarts. Sorted into different houses Lily found other friends (probably starting with the girls she shared a dorm with) and Snape got sucked more and more into the circle of future death-eaters. "I dont't need you. Not the way I did when I was little." sums it up so so well! The mudblood incident was the last straw and from that day on they were on different sides. Snape obviously blamed James for this, something you also brought out perfecty. I think that's part of the reason he resents him so much in the books and part of me wonders if the two men ever fought during the war. Sorry for the mini-rant. Keep up the amazing work.

This is an absolute masterpiece! I don't really like Snape, I think the movie and J.K.Rowling wanted to make James' as the buly and Snape as the hero who got bulied. But, really, you have done a really great job on Snape.

yes, i agree! i don't like how the movie handled it at all, but i think it has to do with how alan rickman didn't want to be a ~villain~, so they cut some important parts making it seem all the blame was on james, which is awful and annoying, james deserved better representation on the movies!! anyway, thank you

I don't think JKR herself intended this. It's just that some fans (and the movies) seem to take one scene of Snape being bullied by James to mean Snape must have been good and a hero and that James must have been bad and irredeemable. Which is a very black and white way of viewing things.

@@Tasha9315 Not to start a discourse here, but to be fair, from a literary standpoint that scene sets the dynamic of their everyday relationship. There is so much info in that one scene that alludes to the dynamic being a long term thing, like Snape expecting an attack, Peter’s excitement, Remus pretending to not exist etc because they all know what’s about to go down. Of course this doesn’t takeaway from the fact James is much more than that as you said. James’ bravery, loyalty etc were always an inherent part of him even at his worst.

My point was that there is much more to James than just that and that there was likely more than just that to their relationship too. My main point was that James's behavior at 16 doesn't mean he didn't deflate his head and grow out of it like we're told.

At first I was wondering if you were a fan of Snape/Snily but then read the description. Personally it bugs me how some fans seem to think Lily was somehow "unfairly" taken away from by "evil" James because they refuse to see the bigger picture. That Snape lost Lily by his "own" deeds and that Lily didn't have romantic feelings for him anyways. Plus, they like to assume Lily up and got with James as he was in SWM, but we're told he deflated his head and grew as a person.
