In my opinion the E89 Z4 was the best looking. Perfect blend of modernity and classic and elegant design. New one looks a bit too aggressive and angular. Specially cuz roadsters are supposed to be elegant, classy, smooth and luxurious looking

In the modern BMW landscape the Z4 is arguably the only remaining BMW with a hint of elegance. Everything else is an angular ‘futuristic looking’ dumpster fire

@@jakesnake1793BMW now is a dumpster fire that might burn itself to the ground if they’re not careful in their current pursuit to become Mercedes 2.0. The XM is a result of this pursuit.

One thing I really like about the new z4 is the fact that they made the grill pretty small same with the new m2 bmw needs to do this more same with other car manufacturers

Probably the only bmw that still has some reminisce in a design level to the original concept.(unlike actual m3 , m5, m2) but they still need to bring the coupe one still the mk2 z4 coupe M design aged well and still looks fresh (it will look like a Supra too much(I’ve seen many renders)) from the back you can tell where the m8 takes inspiration.

The 2017 Z4 concept looked much better. Especially the actual Z4 head lights are sending strong Mercedes vibes. 😐

It is beautiful!! I'm glad that they didn't use that ugly oversized grill from the rest of the lineup. I would actually like to see this grill used elsewhere.

Here's a cool idea. What would your design/render of a BMW Z car be if it had to rival the AMG GT or the Turbo S since BMW dosnt really have a car in that segment. Ide personally call it the ZM.

Always felt like that was missing in the BMW lineup. It'd definitely get its motor from the M8 or the XM. Ide imagine it to homage to the M1 procar a little because that's the closest form factor I can think of that BMW has made and would put it in that class of sportscar.

That is going to be tough with a cup in the cup holder, I had a 2022 Z4 M40i and cups always got in the way.

Latest generation BMW Z4 is selling with manual from the beginning, but only with base model 2.0 (197 hp) engine.

100% agree that upward-pointing headlights aren't as good-looking as normal ones. And the flat-screen dashboard without a visor is a total turn-off for me. Especially since I have yet to see a screen that doesn't lose visibility in direct sunlight.

I have the same car with red calipers and black leather . If you buy and not lease make sure you get gap insurance/ I have a 2023 .Sticker was 73,298 ,it sat on the showroom floor since October of 2022 . I was having my 2019 330i serviced and it was fully loaded .The service manger came over and asked me if I wanted to sell it ,I said how much are you offering? He said $36,000 and I said too low considering the chip shortage and how hard it would be to get one fully loaded .We agreed $41,500 that went into my pocket .I got a great deal on my 2023 Z4M40i for $66,000 because they needed to sell it . I absolutely love it and it is my 4th Z4 in the last 24 years

It’s not the same shifting mechanism as the Supra. It’s specific to the z4 and from the sound of it better than the Supra.

The paddle shifters are snappy and nice though. This car also beat the M3 by 6 seconds around the Nurbergring, so yes, I agree it could be easily be a full fledged M car. Car N driver says 0-60 3.5 seconds, and it's every bit of it IMO.

Based on the current Z4 pricing in Canada, the manual version will probably cost CDN $15,000 more than BMW M2, which is a bitter pill to swallow, when buying an impractical toy car like that.

The first gen Z4 is desperatly well proportioned. The third gen Z4 looks like a heavy shoe.

THIS IS A PURE BMW ROADSTER D.N.A...........with a manual trasmission too....so remarkable car. i love this roadster ho show a big respect to BMW S GLORIOUS AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY. a clean ANGRY design that SCEAMS the PURE DRIVING PLEASURE. that s what i think about this new icon.

@@fortheloveofnoise - I sure did! There's a manual transmission version coming, and that gets some tweeks to the suspension and such. The manual is a complete carry over. There are zero updates and refreshes to the interior and exterior look and tech for either. Ergo....disappointing!

Bmw needs to hire you asap you capture the feeling real car enthusiasts and seems bmw is loosing their ethos especially with the destruction of the traditional kidney grill to the monstrosity we have and the current 5 series loosing its signature hoffmeister kink the whole design is huge miss and a disappointment like the Chris bangle era style
