Calvin's dislike of Echo Echo is hilarious just due to how Eric and Aaron get those shit-eating grins and just stare at him. 😂 Also, Aaron's idea of Ben changing from shatttered Diamondhead to Goop was kinda genius. I wonder if the writers even thought of it.

This episode was first hinted at by Dwayne McDuffie on March 29, 2009, when asked if it was possible for the Omnitrix to revive the Petrosapiens.

I wish Ultimate Alien had won the poll because I'm sure they'd like the first season of it a lot more than this season of Alien Force, but I guess it depends how much they like the finale of this season. I really hope to see them one day reacting to omniverse, even though I like alien force and ultimate alien more, omniverse still has some of the best moments in the series and I love that we see most aliens being used throughout the series.

I don't understand how they failed to do a fun and creative episode involving Ben and his alien having a cold and how that affects their powers when it's literally been done already

An underrated part of this episode that i thought Eric was going to point out was the fact that this episode implies Ben saw Vilgax and immediately wanted to turn into Waybig to just get it over with. And it makes sense Waybig is just blatantly his strongest alien (that isn't you know who) and with a fantastic win record over vilgax with i believe the only other alien to have any positive win record would be Diamond head at the beginning of this season

That last few seconds of Vilgax being sick because of Ben lives in my head rent free 🤣

So much lore this episode with Diamondhead's people & Chromastone. That little bit at the end, Eric is technically correct, the best kind of correct. When Azumuth was gathering DNA for the Omnitrix, Sugilite's DNA was taken as the sample for Crystalsapiens. Sugilite is believed to have perished when Vilgax destroyed Petropia & the Omnitrix just kept his DNA sample. When Vilgax killed Chromastone, the Omnitrix used pieces of him to unlock Diamondhead & he remained dormant within until now, but its not really explained all that well.

1. What Ben has is an updated version of the Omnitrix where transforming into an alien grants him knowledge that particular species should know by nature, or something like that, such as powers. If I’m right, that explains how Diamondhead knew exactly what to do. 2. This episode is a continuation of the start of the season where Ben “dies” as Chromastone. Then the Omnitrix does something bizarre and miraculous, Ben becomes Diamondhead after so long and kicks Vilgax’s butt.

Tetrax is always so cool. The only issue here was when Sugilite was hurt by a laser, when he should be able to absorb lasers.

This was a complicated episode for Dan Riba to direct, as the crew ran into logistics and staging issues.

I've been waiting for y'all to get to the good episodes for months now.. Time to wait a few more.

TETRAX oh yeah chromastone’s back too i guess

My logic is that Sugilite was the donor of his species to the watch, he is Chromastone, just not being controlled by Ben. The watch's DNA had to come from someone, even if we never meet them we still have to assume those DNA donors were/still are out there. When Tetrax destroyed Dimondhead he simply returned Sugilite into his physical form, but the DNA stayed in the watch. Look at Ghostfreak, the one we know may have been in the watch but that was a STRAND of DNA that most likely came from the original Ghoastfreak, considering he had Vicktor as a minion, despite the fact that we're introduced to said minion, AFTER Ghost was destroyed by Ben.

Getting to the good stuff guys, just a few more episodes.

I really like this episode because it kinda circles back to Azmuth’s initial purpose for building the omnitrix. It was never for fighting, but rather for preserving life forms. Ben really takes on his role as ‘Noah’ in this episode.

Oh man, they need to watch Danny Phantom. We need those as poll options and it needs to win.

Chromastone is Crystal Jesus

Chromastone is Petrosapian Jesus instead of just simply being another crystal-like alien race, Tetrax being as super confrontational out the gate rather than being some amount of level headed, Vilgax being depicted with his current design instead of what he's SUPPOSE to be and the show just carrying this look onwards like he always was like this (even though he and his race wasn't), the Petropians all looking like copy-paste Diamondheads (especially having the Chromastone body texture) even though we had a general idea of what they'd look like back in Classic, the cold's effect on Ben's aliens being just simply "he sneezes his powers" compared to classic's interesting alterations...sigh...this season really was the roughest. The answer to how Chromastone got into the Omnitrix is "Azmuth got the DNA, don't ask about it." The "how" situation and reasoning is just honestly stupid. Plus they never really played with the idea of why Diamondhead had Chromastone's body and it affecting his powers like a combo thing. They were just like "oh that just must be how their bodies are" when that really isn't (or at least SHOULDN'T) the case at all.
