People said it's crazy that they are still friends after all the Hollywood superstardom, but maybe they managed to be this successful in the first place precisely because they were friends. Matt and Ben had joint bank accounts growing up so they can help fund each other's trips to NY for auditions, they lived together, helped each other pay bills, learned lines together, and supported each other's ideas when writing together. Their friendship didn't make it through "despite" everything that's happened, THEY make it through "because" of such deep level of loyalty and love that they share with each other. Now that's what being a great friend is.

@@guypeate3628 They were friends long before Good Will Hunting. They met and became friends when Matt was 10 and Ben was 8. The two lived two blocks away from each other. By the time Good Will Hunting was released, they had already been friends for 17 years.
