I really feel like those two never stopped loving each other. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s like it hasn’t even been 18 years, like they wanted to get back together all along…maybe pride and fear got in the way idk. I feel like he wanted Jen back, but she was so heartbroken and mad when he broke it off the first time she said no! but she never stopped loving him. She was just hurt. They both got with other people and yes we thank God for the kids they had while married to other people (but they weren’t whole with those people.) You can tell they’re whole together, their love is so undeniable. I love their love, really makes me believe in soulmates.
