Today the Daily Distraction is looking back at Ben Affleck's Daredevil movie in 2003, and with Charlie Cox set to reprise his version of MCU's Daredevil in the upcoming She-Hulk on Disney+, we are here to say that not only is the original Daredevil movie underrated...Ben Affleck may actually be the best Daredevil!
So why are we defending a movie that got critically panned, where Colin Farrell kills people with paper clips and Michael Duncan Clark chews scenery almost as much as his cigars? Well, if you have ever watched the directors cut, you might realize this Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner movie was actually way ahead of it's time...and we're going to prove why!
So stand back Charlie Cox, and step aside MCU, we are here today in defense of Daredevil, 2003.

Movies was great. The only problem I had is that Daredevil never showed up in Electra movie lol.

actually he does as matt but its in the directors cut of Electra and hes not actually there its more of a dream she has he asks her to come home when shes with stick

I really did like his version of daredevil and Ben is rumored to come back as Daredevil in Avengers: Secret Wars which would be awesome for those that liked his daredevil despite all the hate it got

The movie is easily the best onscreen Daredevil. It was a number one film for weeks and garnered a spin-off. And the playground fight was fun, cool and sexy.

Right, how come that even though both Daredevil and Elektra movies are on Disney+, neither of them are on the Marvel Tab, instead they are hidden away in the Star Tab. Why isn't it in the Marvel Legacy Tab along with FF and Xmen?

almost comes close to the first spiderman not that good but it's close i think this is the best daredevil weve seen so far but i like the new daredevil look in she hulk theyre getting somewhere

First and foremost, Chris Killian is ALWAYS funny and a welcome respite to my work-a-day world. Ben was GREAT as Daredevil but not so much as Batman (over-inflated suit much like Hocehlin as Superman). Tune it down, guys! It has been AT LEAST 30 years since Keaton when you could not figure out how to let him turn his head!! Been is too old to be Daredevil but utilized kinetic, clearly visualized fight scenes. If as a director you don't that well, why are you directing, or please hire someone who does? Sheesh!
