@Gorgeous George Listen buddy, it's not Ben's fault your dumb. You bet on a 36 year old retired wrestler coming out of a recent hip replacement surgery to win a boxing match against a 24 year old "boxer". There is a reason he was picked for this fight, maybe next time use your two remaining braincells and do 10 minutes of research before placing a bet. Besides, Ben said multiple times that he tried his best to win, but ultimately the result is meaningless to him.

He won't be effected by any social media hit pieces or discussions as it matters not to him. He's very stoic in his attitude. And seems to have a very grounded grasp on reality. The most amazing thing about Mr Askren is the fact this man has a life time of winning never tasting defeat. Then when he finally does lose takes it like a true champion no excuses, but that’s not the best bit everything this man does is for his wrestling kids the way he carries himself is because he understands a generation of kids need to see sports and results aren’t everything. Life goes on dust yourself off and keep moving.

Everyone seems to be focused on the physical aspect of why he lost, and while it played a big factor, I think the juxtaposition between their mentality’s going into the fight, and through training camp, played a huge factor. Really hungry and motivated to prove it to himself and prove everyone else wrong vs. not motivated and indifferent towards the result. That’s a recipe for disaster
