it took me a lot of courage to finally open up and say this. i stopped listening to Leaves right after my cousin died. This was his favorite song and he would insist that I should listen to this weeks before he died (he died from an accident). Whenever I hear leaves or it plays on my phone, i literally would skip and play the next song because I could hear him play and sing along. Today, just like the first time, I'm listening to it again. It was never easy after all I was the only person in the family who witnessed everything in the hospital room. It was tragic. He left without goodbye. It's been a year already since he passed away and I could still remember every moments we had. Though he left us with a biggest scar in our hearts, this song gives comfort to ease away our pain and healing. "We never really love someone until we learn to forgive." I forgive you, for leaving me/us first. I know it will take a lot of time to heal but we are working on it. We can't help remember and wishing you were here with us. we love you. Life goes on. The thing about forgiveness is people tend to assume that it equates to being back in each other's lives. People tend to question your ability to forgive base on how tolerant you are in allowing that person to be a part of your life again. Forgiveness should mean you are ready to put everything behind you and move forward. Be it with those people that hurt you or separately. So even if some won't welcome you in their lives anymore it doesn't mean forgiveness hasn't been granted.

It is the only Filipino song that accompanies me in my healing journey, and it made me see the world from a different perspective, where giving forgiveness is a form of love. Yes, it is hard for us to offer forgiveness to those who destroyed us, not just physically but also emotionally. But as the lyrics stated, all will be alright in time. You'll find love and peace.

This song is my favorite song of Ben&Ben. This is actually my healing song because I am a person who is having a hard time forgiving someone even herself. "All will be alright in time", So it's okay to cry and to be weak, it's okay to stumble. Sabi nga ng prof ko "kaya naimbento ang salitang bawi kase minsan kailangan nating bumagsak". Sometimes we forget to give ourselves breaks when we push ourselves too far from our limits. Taking a short break doesn't mean you're not productive , it doesn't mean you're not doing your best. Resting is very important to our mental health. If we stumble today , we can stand tomorrow. We have to pause, breath, and regather ourselves, for healing takes time, don't push yourself too much to the extent where you cannot pull yourself back. Don't rush things because it will happen at the right time. Because "all will be alright in time". Always remind yourself that everything happens for a reason, this too shall pass and you will get what you truly deserve someday. Sometimes we have to acknowledge that we are weak and accept our weaknesses to show how strong we can possibly be. Don't deprive yourselves with a rest. We can do this, we can survive this. Last June 11, 2022 they performed in Aurora Fest. First time ko umattend ng ganong music fest na dapat hindi matutuloy kase nagkaroon kami ng financial constraints, family problem, loaded school works in short nadepress ako. I am working student and I've been carrying so much pain para lang macontinue ang pag-aaral at pagtatatrabaho. So that I won't be a burden to my loved ones. Going back to their performance, unang line pa lang I got goosebumps. Then tumingin lang ako sa taas at pumikit hanggang sa tumutulo na lang yung luha ko. Naaalala ko nung panahong sobrang dami ng problema ko pinaparinggan at sinasaulo ko to para sa Fest and simultaneously crying kase ambigat na talaga. Naniniwala ako na I will be alright in time.
