Welcome back to the 1/72nd scale Armstrong Whitley Mk.5. This is it, we are finally at the end of our journey. This is the last episode for my entry into the Bomber Command Buddy Build, so let's get this kit all finished.
Today we are going to install the last few parts, gloss coat the model, apply decals, apply a flat coat and weather up this bird. Lots of little things to do, but we can handle it.
Along with the basic work that we have to do, I also wanted to add a bit of extra details, so I installed some EZ Line to represent the antenna wire and added a dot filter of Titanium White, for the black underside. I also added some exhaust stains and some slight weathering with powders. Such a great process, seeing this kit come to a close.
It has been so much fun building the Whitley. I have to admit, having never built a 1/72nd scale bomber before, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish. Luckily, I pulled it off and this was such a awesome experience. Actually, I had so much fun that I now have a few more 1/72nd scale bombers on my to-build list. Such a great kit and an awesome Buddy Build.
A HUGE thank you to each and every one of my subscribers! Thank you for hanging with me on this journey. This channel wouldn't even exist, if it weren't for all of you wonderful people. Thank you all, so much.
Also, a HUGE thank you to Martin Lamont for hosting the Bomber Command Buddy Build! This has been a fantastic experience and I am honored to have been a part of such a talented group of builders.
