We have been to Winslow a few times driven the town. Never saw the car stop, never saw the root beer stand. It must be well hidden

Why is there no signage that can be seen from the road? There was all this real-estate on the white area near the roof where the restaurant name could have been added. Visitors won't know that it's a restaurant smh

What was the purpose of even including Ben and Erin in this? I think using their names made the title clickbait! Simply saying that this was part of the Hometown project would have been more honest!

These projects need mature shade trees, and a way to harvest rainwater to the landscape, likely thru bioswales. It looked utterly inhospitable...

I thought the same....some greenery is desperately needed...I know its the desert in AZ but still they could planted /transplanted some beautiful trees and climate appropriate foliage.

@@DiamondBodyMedia Ironwood, mesquite, perhaps (jacaranda?) could be viable possibilities, could certainly work in a palm or three (palms are from the grass family, but would still be neat).

@@b_uppy I don't know much about it but you sound like you do! I know that the drought resistant trees are different. thanks. I love the jacaranda - I was born in australia and they were introduced there from Argentina as a sign of friendship. I think your point is a good one, it would be great to see them work with landscape designers.

@@DiamondBodyMedia Actually jacaranda needs even moisture and the roots can mess up concrete so it's actually a bad choice (dry climate) but I can dream of it. So beautiful.

the sisters not going to the town to meet the recipients and filming them watching the reveals on TV was bizarre. At least they could have done a video call or something to talk to the clients and give them some personal time. ben and Erin didn't even get the pics of the root beer stand as in the title, they saw photos of the other two projects. this edit was completely weird, and the three projects were also strange to cut together in one piece. personally im not a fan of these sisters design style - they always use cheap and very basic ideas without any personal touches or interest. yawn.
