I think these rules should be throughout the club not just the academy, I see these pictures of players showing up Bentley's and such. If the clubs do have to pay young players high wages to attract them, why don't they put in place a savings scheme where the players get a percentage of the money to live on and the rest into a seperate account that they don't have immediate access to until a certain age.

Young players today think they’ve made it simply by being in the academy because the money they’re making is ridiculous even before reaching the first team and I think thats reflected in the desire and hunger or lack there of these young players have. Apprentice jockeys have a bank account, their wages they get, their winning prize money is placed in a bank account held by the controling body.. They are taught to live lean and mean before they become millionaires. Yes, some are millionaires when their apprenticeship is over. I jave heard of some of these soon to be millionaires cooking up the horse oats and buying only the milk. More football champs in the making should be taught what it is like to struggle before they are paid for their talent and hard work!
