I adored the Kids´ Skills approach the moment I first found out about it! Therefore I cannot wait for Dr. Ben Furman to teach Kids´ Skills in Slovakia. :)

A very clear account from Ben Furman, the creator of Kids'Skills, showing how a simple shift in focus can equip adults to help children make changes to a wide variety of challenges.

Thank you Ben for all your teaching. This is what we need. I will make Chinese text for this video to make it available for Chinese in China. BTW, your teaching in Dalian a few days ago has inspired many teachers and parents.

Hello, Ben! Even it past a lot of time since I have learned about Kids'Skills from you, this presentation was a reminder for me of the steps method. Thank you again!

Great video Ben! It gives a really broad overview of the Kid's Skills method. I am using this all the time, and now I think part of my explanation can be replaced by sending this link to parents. I hope subtitles will be available soon in many languages!!

This is highly useful and I love the playfulness of Kids' Skills. I have been teaching it to graduate students in child clinical psychology and using the method in my own practice. Highly recommended. Yoel Elizur

We need to use this method with adults! If we tell adults that they have a “broken brain”, or a “chemical imbalance”, they believe that they are damaged goods. If we approach it like this, it is a challenge to overcome and offers opportunity for growth and change!

Great video which brings to life a strength-based approach for connecting and working with children (and youth and adults). It makes such good intuitive sense, is very clear with logical steps and therefore relatively easy to replicate. The Kids' Skills web subsequently has a range of resources for people in their different roles to help progress this innovative approach - Excellent !!

can i ask what book using these ideas is avail in Australia for my 17 yr old son with anxiety?
@SkyxxAngel
@SkyxxAngel 4 жыл бұрын
In the Kids'Skills app is a paragraph with information about anxiety. Kids'Skills is usually for the younger kids. For the teenagers the method (which is very a like) is called 'Mission Possible'. This has 11 steps instead of 15 like Kids'Skills.

Furmanin ääni erittäin ärsyttävä, kun yritti puhua englantia kuten amerikkalaiset puhuvat. Ei jaksa keskittyö itse aiheeseen, kun ääntäminen huonoa. muutenkin " Muksu oppi" särähtää orvaan liian ns. hienona metodina

How about the skill “to stop at will”. You could train to stop at will washing your hands, drinking a class of water, playing a song, ... first stop to do things that are easy for you to stop and then continue to practice with the more challenging things.
