Bout time a younger man is singing real country music , not the crap they call country now, great job Ben!!!!

Ohh my God. The apple didn't fall from the tree. Ben please keep the legacy going. Country music is becoming Pop music, please I'm begging you to keep this sound alive. I'm telling you it's dying extremely quick. I'm not knocking others for their Pop music but millions of people like me don't want True Country music to fad away. I love Alan Jackson, and a couple others but it's in your hands. God gave you a gift to keep the music going please keep it going. My children think Gretchen and others are Country music, again I'm not knocking them. It's just not Country music. Please millions of people are depending on you to carry out the music. You have a responsibly to yourself and your Pop, don't drop the ball. Sure you're voice isn't your Pop's but Lord have mercy it's sure enough Country music at its best. And that noise from your guitar is WOW. Your something else. Please come to Northern Virginia. Remember your Pop doesn't want his music to die. And you don't either. I'll actually volunteer to help you with anything, not for attention just the legend of Mr. Haggard, my hero and idle. Your blessed with your abilities and voice, WOW what a voice. Thanks.

My husband loved Merle so much he name our youngest son Merle.Ben please keep singing your Dad's music.I lost my husband six years ago we played Merle Haggard music at his funeral.Leonard was his favorite song we played it and our four sons and I knew somewhere my husband,and their Daddy was listening.He loved the Hag.I have a cap Merle autograph to him personally.The Day Merle passed away we all cried.My son Michael called and said Daddy's sitting center stage watching Merle tonight.

Ben, I grew up listening to Merle Haggard. I'm pretty sure he's absolutely always brought to tears every time you sing. You have an undeniable gift as did Merle. If you have songs of your own promote those. But remember to say what you mean and only what you mean. That's what Merle did. He bared his soul in many of those songs that he wrote. They say pain is at the heart of true country song writing. Perhaps it is, but there's also a deeper love and a greater good. Start small and follow through. And don't worry. It'l come.
