There are few artists that are on Ben’s level. He’s a poet and has a brilliant mind. I can’t get enough of his music

This version is way better than the studio version. Bens voice is way clearer and I can capture the lyrical content. Love it

Bantham Legend I agree mate! It seems like he likes keeping a really low profile this time round! At least back with IFWWW he had live videos of solo acoustic performances, either way this music still continues to grow on me.. less about the Ben fan base, but more about the appreciation of the experimental side.. really inspires me to do some crazy things with my music 😉 my first song "Through the wind" was a huge success so maybe there's more behind the wall 😉

I think you're right, he's definitely rinsing off the main stream fanboys. But he has to realise that half the interest in his music is guitarists that want to play what he's playing. He's already established that he's pretty unique in what he does, or at least is single highhandedly leading on from where John Martyn left off. It'd be great if he'd just engage his audience a bit more, like Kristian Matsson (Tallest Man On Earth) is doing at the moment. Have you written any more songs recently? Covers on my channel are getting more views than tutorials these days, so maybe its time to put pen to paper and put out some of my own songs. Might be going busking next week...!

Bantham Legend he said maybe one day he will get into social media and find a way to be more creative through that, but it doesn't seem to help him these days so he doesn't bother.. and we should still plan this little due busking trip around York! I completely forgot and got caught up in alot over the years, but I would love to come over there and do a few shows with you mate

Kyle Cullen I'm taking my daughter busking next week and I'll play a few songs too, but yeah, a Collab is long overdue :)

I dont get why there hasn't been any footage of his playing at these places? Like why did BBC do the entire session and interview but not film it? Or is that what he wanted?

Ben you sound 1000 times better without vocal effects. I know he wants to create atmospheres through his songs, but his voice is naturally haunting and captivating enough. Keep trying new things with your music and challenging yourself, that's what makes you a great artist, but keep your voice the way it naturally is, you don't need to put effects on it to create an atmosphere. That's my opinion

Hadrien his guitar does have effects on it.

The song, as well as many others on Noonday Dream may sound congested on cheap audio hardware, but with a decent source and headphones/speakers you will find this is not the case. The album needs room to breath and the vocals will emerge from the wide and varied soundscape strikingly, assuming you are doing it right. If your headphones/speakers cannot create a convincing soundstage then you are really selling the music short.

It took me a bit to get used to his vocal sounds on the new album but im absolutely in love with them. And Balker is right, throw the album front to back through some good speakers or headphones and you will be amazed.
