PTSD is no joke. I respect and am happy for anyone who can quickly move past traumatic experiences, but for most of us it isn’t like this. I have friends i grew up with that regret some serious decisions they made as KIDS. One thing I’ll say is they never pressured me too much to do some of the things they were doing. We were only teenagers trying to act like men, and we have to live with those decisions. Seeing them being logical, safe and non violent men now warms my heart. We are only 26, some people don’t get to restart by that age…

Some real shit went down and he protected his family and survived. He knew what he was getting himself into and it wasn't a great path in life but I'm sure it definitely revealed a moment of clarity and taught him a great deal. I sure hope he continues to stay strong and become even more successful and prosperous in life. Man as a black male who is very emotional just naturally seeing this really encourages me to keep encouraging men to to express their emotions especially when it comes to crying. He’s very aware of his emotions you can tell how he explains the story. Anybody saying anything crazy about his emotions it’s really ridiculous and that’s why the black community needs to take self care and mental health seriously. It’s just sad because we’ve never been taught to do that so I understand why.

As a black man, it's saddened me that we are our own worst enemy. Why do we always try to robb each other and kill each other, I was in an event not too long ago with mostly black folks. You would think you would feel safe around your own people. Instead, I was on edge, didn't trust nobody, the vibe was just off, to the point that i felt i had to go to my car and get my gun and put it in my waist, and little did I know, a fight broke out, all you heard was gun shots... why? Why do we act like savages.. and over the weekend, I was invited to another event, but this event was mostly white people. It's sad to say this, but i felt completely calm, not a worried in the world. Nobody was schemey on nobody, the vibe was right, it was a great night, not one fight, not one argument, I even left my gun in the car the whole night... and I ask myself, why are we the way that we are, I know there's a lot of good-hearted black folks that don't start, no trouble, or nothing like that, it's just the few of the devil kids that act the way they do that makes the rest of us look bad...
