Amy and I booked the cutest, most idyllic cabin in Perth & Kinross for New Year (link below) - we hiked Ben A’an on day 1 then conquered the mighty Ben Nevis on New Years Eve. Then enjoyed cosy times in our lovely little cabin. Hope you enjoy watching our antics and adventures!

I did this about 5 years ago and it’s a tough walk. It’s a crazy thought; that when you’re up at the summit, walking up that stone thing. You’re the highest person in the UK (out of 67million people) with your feet touching the ground!

I did Ben Nevis back in 1977 the path was a lot smaller then. Great video. Can't do it any more to many aches and pains.

Well done ! congrats for a such great achievement ! let me share my experience with you, i did it yesterday ! weather window with clear sky was predicted, but on the half way ascending, the wind get more power especially on the peak. After few minutes fom celebrating the peak with frozen fingers for taking pics, the sky suddenly get foggy, the visibility reduced, the icy wind nails the snow in my face, even walking was not easy, there was at least 50 cm of Snow, the navigation was not easy. Therefore, the foggy descent requires navigation skills because the wind fill the steps ... even on the tourist path always crampons + Ice axe + compass for navigation are aboslutely required in winter. Happy new year !

Thanks for the idea. Going to attempt Ben Nevis in a week or so. It was so warm at New Years we went for a swim in the Sea off the Galloway coast.. a very short one😁.

Awesome video. Didn't climb it in these conditions, I climbed it in summer and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. You can see a 100 miles from the top. Happy New Year ❤

the pony track is a real grind after the loch. Been up 3 times, 3 different ways and that way wasn't the most fun for me.

Firstly welcome to Scotland looked like use 2 had a great time unfortunately Ben Nevis can have that effect . I like the fact that use were so chirpy on the way up but how things change on way down but all worth it like your we cabin you cant ask for anything more than a log cabin with a hot tub on new years in Scotland plus to climb the biggest mountain in Britain yous 2 should be very proud of your self's. great video . john

I did Ben Nevis many moons ago! There was lightning when I reached the summit and I was like “what are the chances of being struck by lightning when you’re at the highest point in the British isles?”. Well done! Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Happy New Year xx

Ben A’an was the first hill I climbed. Lots of fun. Haven’t done Ben Nevis yet but I’ve managed to bag a few Munro’s. Think I’ll do Nevis when it gets a bit warmer…

Thank you and well done. We, a mixture of young and old guys are planning to climb Ben nevis in mid February. Your video is the exact answer to my question that "how long does it take climb and back Ben nevis? which is 7 hours and doable in daylight. Luckily, our drive from our stunning accommodation in Fort Augustus to Ben nevis is only 40 mins. Thank you again.

Awesome way to end the year! I climbed Ben Nevis in winter a few years back now, got caught in a white out and have never ever been as scared in my life. We ended up teaming up we several other groups and made our way down together. To this day it is one of the best and worst experiences of my life. I am planning on heading back this year to do it in the summer. You are an inspiration and I love your videos. Thank you. Xx

I done nevis in October. Woke up a 1am to drive there from Birmingham then climbed it in horrific conditions,I never want to see that mountain again 😂. Well done ladies,brilliant work 👏

This Vid describes my trip up Nevis to a tee did it as the first mountain on the national 3 peaks challenge couple of years ago there was nothing enjoyable about it, Glencoe prettiest place in Scotland without a doubt . Then 4 hrs up and down Nevis which frankly was hell its no joke up there couldn't see a thing -5 and down in the dark before driving to scafell pike for 5am and then snowdon the next day at 12pm. Super well done for doing it on NYE and getting some footage Id love to go back and actually see something at the top The vids of the CMD Arete route on he other side look like a must in the summer months Happy New year looking forward to more vids in 2022

Well done ! As someone who stays in Fort William, I've only been to the top of Ben Nevis twice which is pretty disgraceful.. Looking out my living room window , there is a lot more snow now on the mountain.

I done Ben Nevis Oct 2020 for the first time via CMD arete, was tough but well worth it in the end. Worth checking if your ever up there again, it's a challenging knive edge. Awesome achievement though, well done to you both and happy new year!

Great achievement to you both Ben Nevis was my first mountain that i climbed its nearly as bad coming back down as it was going up seem to go on forever i was ill prepared for it (fitness wise ) though . what plans you got for 2022 im hoping to do the wainwrights now will probably take a few years though (im only a fair weather hiker).Can't wait for your next adventure .Atb Nigel.
