Here is a movie from our ascent of Castle ridge on Ben Nevis. We camped under the North face and next day we climbed Castle ridge and then walked to the top of UK highest mountain.. In brilliant summer condition. Summit day - 12 HRS. June 2019.
My son was 5 years and 6 months old, but I was very proud of both as Luisa helped a lot with rucksacks, ropes, camera etc. and kept Jonas in good mood. Biggest thing I ever done with kids. Will never forget this trip.

What an awesome job, that was some feat for two young kids, you must be real proud of them! I have been up Ben Nevis 3 times, the first time with my 9 and 12 year old sons and the last time with friends for my 60th bi5rthdat, 5 years ago. I have always gone up the tourist path but your route loos so much more fun lol! Real pleased you got the views from the summit your effort deserved, cheers Alan

Thank you very much. Any route in north face is a great adventure. Castle ridge is an easiest climb from Ben's ridges or you can try ledge route which is a scramble but longer than castle ridge. When dry in summer its doable without rope but that depends on your fitness, head for heights and scrambling/climbing abilities and confidence.

Thank you, we did curved ridge in end of August as a same team. Its good fun for kids in a good weather.

Thanks Dave, its moderate climb, so technically very easy if you have a head for heights. Beautiful route though and often neglected so you can have it for yourself as other ridges are more popular. It is a challenging climb of course for kids.

Have you ever lost the stopper from the Jura?

No, but once I lost the whole little metal Jura bottle:-] I tried to take a picture of my wee bottle at the top of West Lomond in Fife on trig point. Unfortunately the bottle sadly fell inside the deep narrow hole into the trig point and I've never rescued it back
