He sang "waving through a window", a cover that PTX did so beautifully. The movie was Dear Evan Hansen.

Wonderful, heartfelt reaction. Ben Platt was the original Evan Hansen on Broadway in the musical "Dear Evan Hansen" and won the Tony for Best performance by a lead actor in a musical that year. You really should check out the film version. Very moving and emotional and worthwhile. (My husband and I just saw Ben in concert at the Hollywood Bowl last month - and a highlight was when he danced with his boyfriend (actor Noah Galvin) onstage.). Ben also has a Netflix live concert from his first album post Evan Hansen that is really good, too. Love.

I loved your reaction to this! First time seeing you. You got what most people feel the first time they hear Ben Platt. I fell in love with his voice sing the musical dear Evan Hansen where he originated the role and played it for maybe six years and then the movie. He also has his own albums out. Every song of his is worth listening to. Even alive version of waving through a window is so beautiful and touching by Ben. Definitely explore him more. Great job. ❤️🫶🏻✌️✌️

Would love to see more reactions of Ben Platt! He got a lot of hate on twitter of being too old for playing high schooler (he was 26/7, but the make up team did him so dirty that it didn't even look as him), even tho many others play teens when they are older, they just were calling him ugly and all that stuff. He has 2 albums out that have some incredible songs on there, i recommend In case you don;t live forever by him from London live, it's really incredible performance as well

Hey Luke! Ben Platt is amazing! He originated the role from Dear Evan Hanson on Broadway and was amazing. Unfortunately I feel like he was too old by the time the film adaptation was made but he is an incredible vocalist. Check out the song “River” from the Netflix series he did called “The Politician.” It’s incredibly moving and beautiful as well. Take care, Jeff

Almost all thought Ben Platt was brilliant in it. Thank you so much for your reaction to this song which was originally in the Broadway show and the film. The songs for the show were written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and are all extraordinary. I think you will love the movie when you watch it.
