So the age won't really matter if someone in their 40s still has the mindset of a teenager who's unwilling to grow up. I've dated guys who were younger and older than me based on their mentality and maturity. And you are 100% correct regarding physical attraction versus actual value. A lot of men and women (those in touch with reality) may initially find someone attractive until that person does or says something that totally takes away their sex appeal. An IG model may look good on picture but when people learn how rotted their brain is, they move past them so quickly. I know and have seen extremely attractive men pass up on sleeping with a young and hot woman merely because she's not at their level of maturity in being able to understand life as a whole. My community has something called a yenta, or shadchan/שדכן . They are exceptionally astute to pairings and getting to the brass tacks for a happy and healthy marriage. My husband was my first BF, the summer going into HS. He is older though so after HS he joined the Navy, so we kinda did our own thing for a bit, I went to college etc…I did get married later than most in my community (26,) but it was so worth the wait. We have a fun and chill life. We’ve bought some properties, travel, and hang out together all day. We wanted the same things in life, and speak the same love languages. It’s weird he says marriage is war. That actually makes me sad he believes that and teaches others this. He seems so angry and resentful of marriage I. Fact I’m going on a decade of marriage and we’re in more love than ever❣️ We don’t have a weird power grab. We may have our own strengths, but that’s what makes our personal relationship work.
