Dc o5 But... Pulp Fiction is a comedy. Definitely a dark comedy. I mean, it defies easy classification, most Tarantino movies do, but it's definitely more funny than anything else.

You're absolutely right...but Pulp Fiction as an out and out obvious comedy with Stiller and Ayoade would be literally fucking epic.

+ohowjuicy yet "something big" is kind of against what people like Richard Ayoade stand for. It's not the scale that bothers, but what the production becomes adjusted to the scale.

Ben Stiller and Jon Stewart look and act like they'd be brothers. They have same body structures, similar facial structures, humor and line delivery, and even even similar voices and speech patterns. It's the first time Ive ever really connected the two. Im sure they're friends or at least famliar. They were on the circuit at the same time really during the early 90's. I always put them in the same "circle" of people from that era. /rambling

@furbybuddy
@furbybuddy 3 жыл бұрын
@@boliussa Richard's probably out of his comfort zone lol, he says he doesn't like interviews so he typically does his best to derail them and make it funny in his own humor. In this case, this isn't one of Richard's personal works or a British comedy so the typical interview-selling shtick had to occur instead. And Ben was adamantly sticking to the typical answers, so Richard didn't really have a chance to do his usual comedy anyway aside from the very first comment

That’s a *huge* generalization that doesn’t ring as true now that there’s so many different sources of media content. Ayoade’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea over here, but he certainly isn’t no one’s. Flight of the Conchords are beloved in the states & that love is multi-generational. Don’t judge us all purely on what a few idiots in Hollywood are churning out.
