At one point in his life, Ben Webster shared an apartment with Joe Zawinul. One evening, Coleman Hawkins came by so that they can "go over some things". He ended up staying and playing until early morning. WHY WAS NOBODY RECORDING THAT?

@@FlorianPopp Almost. It's Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. He was a Danish bassist who made a lot of recordings and played lots of gigs with Oscar Peterson in his trio, and he did a lot more collaborations as well.
