Alot of the Pokemon in Stadium are named after their japanese names but of course misspelled and the wrong letters are are used possibly because the translation is too literal with how each of the japanese characters is pronounced . Like Charizard is Lizardon instead of Lizad, Spia for Beedrill is Spear, Jigglypuff is called Purin. If anyone asks, no I didn‘t watch the japanese version of Pokemon much but after years of looking up name differences I can tell you there‘s quite a lot of differences between the Japanese and English. Also the Bugs Life Game seems to be based on the Game Boy version.
