Saying no to things is almost critical to keep the enjoyment of the hobby going. I’ve never done commission work because I knew it would suck all of the fun out of it for me. There’s also a “biting off more than you can chew” part of it for me too, where you want to participate in all of the community builds, do buddy builds, and so on…but honestly there’s just too damn many of them to keep up with. I finally had reached the point where I’m going to do what I want…and be awfully darn happy doing it lol. Great reminder Mike!

You can, at the very least, take solace in having done some really great work so far. I know how tough it can be working on a subject that you're not enjoying. At this point I'd suggest indulging in one of your own projects, even for a little bit, just to clear your head. It'll give you a chance to focus on a subject you enjoy, and maybe help dull that edge when your return to the Corvette.

I just wanted to clarify a little bit as to why I mentioned that. The 67 Chevelle Pro Street chassis is longer than the chassis that you're currently using for that Pro Mod Corvette. Pro mods have a stretched section between the cowl and the front fender well and that's why you would have to stretch the chassis. You may have to stretch the Chevelle chassis a little as well but it won't be as much work

Yep its definitely ok to say no even though i dont like telling people no but it be for my own good. I have a 442 ive been working on and it has me feeling like not being in the mood so i choose to stop and do a quick build i used that as therapy 😅 Needless to say due to the hurricane i cant finsh it because we have no power . I agree with you, in order for me to build. Model it has to be a car that i like or else its bo fun .
