Dang, it's been 4 years and yet this is for me the most valuable video you did because i might wanna base a lot of my future 360 Video professional work on it. The ability to navigate from point to point in a 360 video is the most immersive experience you could ever get with a VR headset until the video Games graphic get much better and closer to reality. With a regular 360 video the obvious problem is that you can't walk/Move around the space as with in a VR game so this partially solves the issue!! I love it ;). And BTW, I believe that we live in a simulation and that AI beings created it and that soon enough we'll create new AI that will create new incredibly vivid simulations where avatars like us will actually believe everything is physical rather than Virtual and what you show in this video is actually a step toward That!

Thanks a lot for this video! I also see a lot of value even for places without people just to give a more lively feeling with spatial sound. The one thing I see that is less nice for immersion is the lack of 3D transitions from one spot to another like Matterport has and am very surprised they doens’t yet offer the video feature. Do you know some other virtual tour tools that enables videos like this with 3D transitions? Would be a good thing to have

The oculus go addition is great for the go, best part is that you can download the files for viewing offline, and the quality seems better than Facebook. So i dont have to drag and drop files anymore.

Great video Ben. I agree with you about video having a much more immersive experience than a photo. I am so impressed with VeeR, it is fast and easy to use. The only downside I think is the softness of the image.

Thanks Joe- yes very immersive. To me it looks like standard 4k 360 (which still is a little soft, yes) but it’s the same as viewing it anywhere else 👍

Thanks for the video. Just trying Veer creating now. I can see the results in Chrome but I can't see any 360 videos from it in Edge or Firefox browers. Has anyone else has that problem? I'm hoping to use it for a public tour, so it needs to be viewable in all browsers.

Here are clickable time points to the key parts of this video so people can jump to specific parts they want to view: 0:13 - Intro 0:44 - Shooting a virtual tour of the Sydney Opera House. 1:52 - Prep video for VeeR. 1:58 - Create free VeeR account. 2:11 - Click "Create interactive experience." 2:22 - Upload regular and 360 thumbnails. 2:29 - Upload footage. 2:54 - A note about video quality. 3:08 - Start editing - arrange the video clips in the order you want them to appear. 3:16 - Setting video's initial viewpoint. 3:33 - Tell VeeR what to do when it reaches the end of each video clip. 3:59 - Add sound/background music. 4:49 - Adding hotspots to allow viewers to navigate from point-to-point. 5:25 - Use Preview button at any time to see how your tour looks as you create it. 5:45 - How many videos to use in a tour? 6:09 - Add Cards which are photos or links to other websites or videos. Hi Ben! How is the picture resolution in the Oculus Go HMD when you look at the video? How much have you lost in resolution? My experience with 360 video in a HMD is that you can´t have object to far away from the camera because it gets all pixly (is that even a word?)...

All the people in this video are actors do not even look at the cameras. In the first video some children pass so close to the tripod and do not even touch it.😎😎. Great video!!! I still dont get it, why you need to reposition the camera in different places. As i mention in a previous video of yours. My idea for 80+ different sites here where i live. Is to walk and show how does actually a site or building looks like. Re-positioning the will takes years! Not to mention these sites are all over the country. If you check my channel i have some test already in my city, although i made the mistake not removing the plastic cap on my gopro max. I am just gathering info to improve for up coming sites. Thanks for the insight. Depending on the sidr of the site i may do it in time lapses.

Ben, for internal virtual tours, which do you prefer, this manfroto Light Stand or the Selfiestick + mini tripod? The Light Stand seems to be safer.

For me wind is the biggest factor.. it was pretty windy here so there’s no way the smaller setup would have worked. For interiors it’s better though as there’s less of a footprint and no risk of your camera falling over

I'd rather not have the client depend/tied indefinitely to me in order to have their content running through a third party site. First off, thanks a lot man! You make every seemingly complex 360 stuff into an easy and understandable tutorial. Now, a question for you or anyone who happens to know: Is it possible to make an experience in Veer, similar to OmniVirt (i've been experimenting in it), in which you don't need a physical pointer, but instead you stare at a hotspot for a few seconds to activate it or make a selection? If so, how to I do it? I tried figuring this out in the web platform as well as in the app but haven't been able to make it yet. Any suggestions? Cheers bro, keep up the great work.

Hello Ben, Could I ask you something? I want to make several virtual video tours for a project. I saw the Qoocam 8K 360 camera in one of you youtube videos, which I bought. Now I have started working with it. As a test I recorded 3 videos of about 60 seconds each in my own home. To merge these videos using the Quucam studio software, each video requires 1.5 hours, which is more than half a day of work for the 3 films. They each size around 30 Gb in size (while the original material around 2Gb) now I want to use these files in veer.tv as you show in the tutorial. My computer is then busy all day uploading the files. I am probably doing something wrong, this is definitely not workable. My system is a Macbook pro 16 with the i9 processor, 32 Gb memory and the maximum video specs. The internet connection is a fiber optic connection of 100/100 Do you have any tips for me? kind regards from the Netherlands, Arjan Staal

VeeR and KZfaq are competing platforms, so no you can’t. Also KZfaq is not for hosting virtual tours 👍

Is the quality of the video auto adjusting to internet speed or its fixed to 4k? it dosent look clear at all on the occulus go headset. so wondering if it is my internet or this is how a 4k footage uploaded from fusion looks in VEER. thanks

Yeah it will adjust based on your internet speed.. to me it looks just like every other 4k 360 video (I have super fast internet)

Inside a still tour can your card be a video clip? Cause I was to add a hologram image of me talking telling them to look for for something but I dont want it to be a picture I want it to be a video I shot of my self on green screen, can that be done in either a video tour or a stills tour? Thanks.

Ben, I directly exported ricoh Theta v footages to my Mac. But it came out to be split screen video how to edit that. please help me

Split screen? Sounds like you haven’t stitched your footage..

NO. I have been trying to stitch it through Recoh Movie Convertor app for mac. But it shows file not supported. Is there any other way to stich video?

I have this same question as well. Is there a tutorial up on how to stitch the images and what programs to use for this?
