Augh the tacking is like nails on a chalkboard. Like cool video but the welding oh man.

Using MIG like TIG. It's definitely interesting. And it looks good 👍.

Why do you only tack everything? To not burn through as easy? Also, why clean the weld if you’re just gonna grind it down?

Du très beau travail en perspective. Les découpes sont milimetrees. Très belle réalisation.

You couldn't run cables etc through it as when you fold it round it blocks the void you would have to cut another section out of the bottom

Was just thinking this, this must be how they make things in China 🇨🇳
@AzzKicker-bz1cb2 жыл бұрын
Most people could likely pull that long arc or cold weld apart since there is very little if any actual fusion in that joint!!! Then after grinding the “weld”, there’s even less metal to be there to hold the joint!!! I truly hope no one uses that for a structural part!!!

When you "weld" 2 metal parts together the weld Melts the metal then sets it as 1, So the weld is actually as strong or stronger than the steel in this case!?
@yourdrummer20342 жыл бұрын
@@simonmatthewwright1221 there's a good to very good chance it will break, especially welded they way this is welded. If they ran a bead or at least turned up the heat, the metal may have homogenized. Or if they bevel the edge and fill it with weld before grinding so there was still weld there, there may be some strength. You could take a chance and hope it doesn't break or you could do it right and then it's stronger than the metal it joins. Original post is correct.

You didn't build a square pipe. That's not welding, that's junk.

Run a real bead, the tack weld looks like crap, learn to set your machine and you will get more respect.

Dude didn't bevel his weld or anything. Why pit the weld on if you're gonna grind the whole thing off?
