Steve Albini is an American musician, record producer, audio engineer and music journalist. He was a member of Big Black, Rapeman and Flour, and is a member of Shellac. He is the founder, owner and principal engineer of Electrical Audio, a recording studio complex in Chicago. In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums over his career. He has worked with acts such as Nirvana, Pixies, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, and former Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Albini is also known for his outspoken views on the music industry, having stated repeatedly that it financially exploits artists and homogenizes their sound. Nearly alone among well-known producers and musicians, Albini refuses to take ongoing royalties from album sales, feeling that a producer's job is to record the music to the band's desires, and that paying producers as if they had contributed artistically to an album is unethical.

I like how they used sheets of fabric to attenuate the high-end of the vocals. Very creative.

A good guy. Rarely sane. Had a rare broad, down to earth, properly contextualized view of situations and the world in general, and the thorough principles that stemmed from that.

it's beyond ironic how the Lincoln Park neighborhood was such an incubator for the 80s punk scene. Go there now and you would think there was no way lol!

I would've asked him....how do you wear a mask on a daily basis and succesfully not have your glasses constantly steaming up, that shit drives me nuts I can't take it.

I would have asked him when did he decide to become such a hypocritical PC POS? I was just reading a book about bands and one of the Bands in the book was Big Black. The things Albini said and did about gays and minorities were 1000 times worse than anything Joe Rogan ever said. But now Albini is telling Rogan he need to repent? The funniest thing is Albini talks about people like him (how he is now) in the book. He says they just see or hear something and judge it without context. I’ve always thought Albini was a self righteous idiot and his music sucked but now I think he’s a hypocrite too. I don’t know how anyone takes him seriously at this point.

Fold the top of the mask over your nose high on the bridge, then place your glasses further down the bridge, over the top of the mask. Works for me : )

his glasses DO steam up. and it is hilarious. An obvious sign that moisture is escaping the mask. Just cough and sneeze in the other direction, as far away from others as possible. The whole thought that talking to another person face to face could kill one of you is a mind virus much more harmful to society and your personal psyche than an airborn virus we are aware of

Same thing with doctors washing their hands or people wearing condoms. Can't believe they don't want to be special snowflakes by reducing the chances of contracting viruses, bacterial infections or diseases. A bunch of sheep.

It tracks, squares are famously the types who take can't grasp the reasoning and voice disdain at individuals who don't conform to their ideology. Squares are generally old fashioned fuddy duddies who struggle with adapting to change.
