Mam your explanation is very good. But I still do not understand how it relates to maximum velocity. More I bend (theta) I can have more velocity. So theoritically If I bend near theta = 90 my velocity will be very large (tends to infinity) according to the equation derived, because tan 90 degrees is infinite. I think we should bring in coefficients of frictions to calculate the maximum allowable speed and therefore the maximum allowable bend (theta). If you can kindly explain or come up with another lecture on this.

Thanks for watching our video! We're glad that you found it to be a great lecture. R does stand for the reaction force, which is the force that acts perpendicular to the surface. We hope this explanation helps - let us know if you have any further questions!

You have to set the value of theta first and then accordingly you can set the components of R, the one alongside theta will be Rcostheta and the perpendicular to it will Rsintheta.. Components of any force clearly depends on theta so you need to first geometrically fine the place of theta with respect to Normal Reaction

How you can find R? Why it is not perpendicular to ground?
@MagnetBrainsEducation
@MagnetBrainsEducation Жыл бұрын
Dear Student, Thank you for your comment. The letter 'R' is usually perpendicular to the ground because it is the first letter of the word 'right'. However, sometimes the letter 'R' can be slanted, depending on the word it is used in. For example,

Thank you for watching our educational videos! We're glad you're enjoying them and learning from them. As for your question, friction is caused by the particles on the surface of objects rubbing against each other. If there are no particles on the surface of an object, there can be no friction
