The game actually implies that it was Audrey who released the Ink Demon from his Bendy form, when she zapped him with her hand, weakening the seal Wilson and the Keepers put on him.

I honestly love that they made Henry look like a pathetic rat of a man who hasn't slept in like a week, I didn't expect him to look like anything else, it's absolutely perfect

I think that the Ink Demon was switching to his Bendy form from time to time because, at his core, he still wanted to be what Drew created him. He wanted a purpose. He wanted to be loved by his creator - and it seems that he was jealous of Audrey, the perfect creation, for having a purpose and getting recognition while he was locked away and tortured. His final speech, "You're a mistake, a monster. Like me" kinda gives that away and makes him look like a neglected, abused child, angry about his younger sister getting all the love and care from his parents, while he never did. So, lil Bendy is the manifestation of that child-like hope and curiosity he once had - maybe whatever horrible things Keepers did to him made him remember that feeling and revert to it. As a side-effect, the Ink Demon started unknowingly reverting, either due to Keepers' tech or to some subconscious triggers. This is why I'm glad that Bendy finally got some kind of happy ending for himself by being effectively "reborn" into the real world with a big sis at his side. Who knows how he would have turned out if he had been treated decently by Drew and the rest.

So, in the ending, Audrey took over the Ink Demon's body and played the Last Reel. This led to Audrey being sent back to the real world, Bendy being permanently in his cartoon form (living with Audrey), and everyone in Joey Drew Studios living in peace. Huh. So that's what Sammy Lawrence meant when he said the Ink Demon will set them free.

Everyone at first thought that this game was going to be darker than the original. But it was turned the opposite. This game showed Joey’s Created Daughter going through his creation and battling enemy just as Henry did before her. Plus it answered much of the questions, such as the Cycle. If there is another game, it may answer even more questions. Plus, the inky world is now safe from the ink demon and Wilson.

I can’t believe Wilson conquered an entire cartoon world inside an ink machine just to bring his OC to life 😂 I find this simplistic summary of the game hilariously funny 🤣

35:24 What I like the most was how 'alice' was later on killed in her pursuit of perfection, only to see her doppelganger and realize how beautiful she really was/could have been. I loved how in her final moments she seemed calm, shocked to see how perfect Allison's face was. And when Allison told her 'always were' it made me feel sympathy for Alice. She only wanted to be the best version of what she was, even if it meant destroying everything and one around her. She let her obsession control her life but finally found peace when she was later killed after all these years

I’m so glad that this actually made the story of both Bendy games make sense. The first game was cool, but clearly missing many cohesive pieces, and Dark Revival is absolutely stunning, but I struggled to understand what the actual storyline was. The fact that the Ink Machine is essentially a purgatory machine is NUTS. It all makes sense now, and it really makes me look at the games in a different light, and with far more admiration

I love it that Wilson is basically trying to hide away the originals who had a big purpose in the original cycle. I think that when Sammy Lawrence noticed that henry was familiar to him, it changed the cycle a bit. These characters knew what the cycle was and Wilson knew that if they were able to remember what the place was once like, they can break the cycle. Making Wilson powerless.

When Allison comforts Alice as she dies it warms my heart the last thing Alice heard was that she was beautiful and she was always beautiful in her own way

Here is a small thing that I don’t think you covered Sammy is labeled as a cycle breaker for some reason. I think this is because he has shown to remember past cycles. Based on previous theories we can conclude that Sammy wouldn’t recognize Henry (and even if he was he wouldn’t be able to tell if it was Henry due to the ink). This makes him a cycle breaker by remembering past cycles. Still…sad to see him done dirty in this game.

I wonder if Allison is mistaken about Tom being distrusting of strangers. In the first game he mentioned that he was not comfortable with what the Gent Co was doing for Joey Drew, but when he became part of the inky abyss it really struck him just how much he was partially responsible for. He helped the company create a Purgatory for the workers of Joey Drew Studios, and now it is difficult for him to be around anyone in the machine because every time he sees them he is faced with the reality of what he did to them. He has changed his ways, but he will never stop regretting his actions.

The Fact that he is able to look for the tiniest details and can do it by explaining it super hard is really impressive!

The torture and pain Bendy was put through by the Keepers is just absolutely horrible. I literally wanted to cry when I read the dialogue, especially when it says “using lengths of steel wire to cut into the side of his body, he now registers emotional responses. There were tears of ink documented. Screams of pain.” Like WHAT, I FELT BAD BEFORE BUT NOW I FEEL TEN TIMES WORSE😭! Bendy never deserved any of the stuff that he went through, he didn’t ask to be made and was never given a chance to be anything but a monster.

I’m fascinated by the story of these games, but I do terrible with horror games/movies. So these recaps are basically how I learn what happens.

You didn't mention that Betty is definitely a prototype for Shipahoy Dudley. Her outfit, her hat, and her hair match his, and she mentions that she's a failed experiment of Wilson's. I was flabbergasted when I realized that. I guess that's why Wilson realized he needed a soul for Dudley! Or maybe he killed someone in the real world to create her . . . idk, I just thought it was cool.

If they make a third game, I really hope they go the route of the Ink Demon siding with Audrey. Baby Bendy is already Audrey's friend, so imagine if, thanks to Audrey, Baby Bendy can now control the transformation between Ink Demon and cartoon. He'd be a great ally to have, especially since Audrey isn't treating him like how Joey, GENT, the Keepers, and Wilson treated him. While they all only saw the Ink Demon as a failure, a monster, and a mistake, Audrey sees the Ink Demon for what his is: an abused, tortured victim of circumstance who seems to only really want someone to accept him as a living creature, not as a soulless abomination. Baby Bendy could even just be a sort of 2nd player, like in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Like Bowser Jr., maybe Baby Bendy could run around and help solve puzzles for Audrey since he's a cartoon, but in a battle, he can turn into the Ink Demon for short amounts of time to give Audrey some brawn alongside her brains. Baby Bendy probably won't end up "dying" like Audrey - maybe he just gets put to sleep if he runs out of health and Audrey has to bring him to a thick ink well or something to heal him. Ink Bendy's invincibility could even be like a sort of "Rage Mode," where the Ink Demon gets complete invulnerability for a few seconds in a battle and can wreak havoc on his enemies if he gets low on health. Not to mention Beast Bendy, being an invincible tank, could pose a great help for a final battle. Maybe it could be like the final battle in Bowser's Fury, where you have to chase down your adversary in the ink world as they speed away and Beast Bendy can go in for a hit.

There is another female employee in the studio, one that refers to herself as a ghost, as she hides in the dark and takes advantages of her invisibility. I believe Grace Conway is the ghost in the ghost. =)

I love how mike theorizes over his own tape without mentioning his voice over it. This man is a professional.

Yknow, one thing a lot of people seem to dislike about the game is how some characters didn’t get enough screen time, but I kinda like it that way. It makes the environment feel so much more natural, like these characters have other things to worry about rather than following or staying with the main character just cuz they showed up.

16:44 what I find kinda neat about this line in particular is that in BATIM, Allison says this same thing to Henry in chapter 5. Let me elaborate further on this. In chapter 4 of BATDR, we learned how Joey used to be bitter until an “Angel” came into his life, changed his perspective of things, and that “angel” was Allison Pendle. I think this just kinda plays into how Joey has now learned from some of his mistakes, and how much Allison made an impact in his life.

Dark revival was a lot more optimistic than I thought it would turn out... Both in game and in story as it hints that there may be a good ending in the end.

Considering the signed photo that Henry gave to Joey was signed "Your Best Pal," I think it's safe to say the one making the helpful notes is also Henry.

I really like the keeper's voices. They sou like pure, unadulterated, hate. My headcannon for them is that they are only able to feel hatred and the most that they can do with that hatred is to redirect it at certain things like test subjects or those who break the rules. The only one that they can never hate is Wilson, and even then it's more out of following orders than of admiration or love

I’m so glad this game finally came out. I loved Security Breach, but this game was definitely way better. No bugs, full story, and it was ACTUALLY scary, I flinched at every jumpscare on my first watchthrough

This game was definitely worth the wait, it absolutely went beyond my expectations, it was good to see some new and old characters, especially Henry he’s probably my favorite horror game protagonist besides Michael afton from fnaf

Keep in mind that everyone we saw had some form of ink except two people. Joey Drew who was a ghost of the system and Henry Stein who apparently was not created with ink. He was formed in a different way by Joey Drew so that he would be tormented forever. We then can speculate that no matter what revolutions happen within the world Joey Drew remains a voice and Henry Stein remains the physical form that can create change. He specifically is not of the ink. He has a destiny all separated from this world. The only reason that he wasn't able to do what his purpose was in this revolution was because an outside force interfered. No one planned for Wilson to show up and change the rules. Audrey just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and just happened to have magic or power connected to this world that she wasn't aware of. Now she's part of the system and can do whatever she likes in the world because she's like neo for the matrix. She retains her memories throughout the resets. She is the only one in this group of protagonists and antagonists that has free will. She could rule with an iron fist or with calm compassion but she is still of the ink and in that she's just one of them. She's not a superhero. She can be destroyed the same as they can but Joey Drew is intangible and Henry Stein is invulnerable.

Personally, I think Bendy/The Ink Demon is a physical manifestation of Joey Drew's will inside the machine. The Demon is a force of wrath and rage, designed to torture his victims over and over again. But Joey, thanks to Allison and his daughter Audrey, grew soft and created Allison Angel, which brought mercy and kindness into the realm. With Audrey's presence, Bendy can be his true, kind self instead of the scared and angry monster. My reason? Both times you meet with Joey, after he disappears, the next entity you meet is *always* Bendy, once as Baby Bendy (the first meeting) then the Demon after Audrey rebukes him and storms off.

I do think it'd be cool that the Gent Corporation would be the next big bad. Considering we do see the ink machine being taken away in a truck that is owned by the Gent company, I wouldn't be surprised if we learn more about the Gent company, and what they're up to.

My personal theory about Heidi is that she might be the secretary mentioned in Steve’s audio log. He liked the secretary, and Heidi seems to be friends with his ink form. Just something I thought would be cute.

*I gotta say, the developers REALLY did it with this one! They did an awesome job, a creative story, lovable and non-lovable characters, a few Creative plot twists and even a Teaser for the 3rd game!!* *Hopefully it won't take as long as this one-*

I just came to a very tragic realisation. These are the Ink Demon's words to Audrey: "You have nothing. You are without purpose. Your very existence was a terrible lie. You're a mistake. A monster. Like me." Not just in the final words, but throughout the entire speech, the Demon is talking about himself.

Fun fact: beaat bendies from the 2 games are pretty different actually. In the old game both bendy's forms had broken legs, so in beast form he had to walk by fist, but in this game, either by evolving or by merging with audrey im not sure, his beast form actually gets normal legs to walk on.

I like that he theorised that Henry was trapped by someone from the tapes released in 2019. This was the first think I thought about when I found Henry in the game. This isn't his only theory proven true from the 2019 trailers

I find this game took some of the problems the first game had and improved upon them. While the first game will always be special, I think it safe to say this one is just better in almost every way.

I never realised how much the graphics had improved in the game through out the years. Its incredible.

I like to think the actual Henry is still alive with his family but with some knowledge of what happened at the studio. Like he would well past his 40’s at this point but could provide some aid to Audrey and maybe even teach her about Joey outside of the studio.

So I suppose it has been revealed that Audrey DID return back into the real world with Bendy by her side. Hearing HorrorBro explaining it, better makes it a whole lot more to understand. Thanks to him, I finally understood the entire plot of the story and the many twists and secrets within.

Henry is referred to as a version, Implying that he's a duplicate and not the original, and I think this would go for Angel Allison as well. Speaking of Allison, there's also the implication that the original cycle did not include her until after Drew had built his friendship with Pendel. I think before Allison there was no happy end, Henry was meant to die by Alice's hand at the end of the colossus of wonders

I have a feeling that the way Bendy switches from Demon Bendy and his cute self depends on his emotional state. I remember watching a documentary on how intrusive thoughts can trick someone into changing their perspective.

What a wonderful game! This is the kind of sequence I like: it expands the story, provides answers, introduces new mechanics and, above all, doesn't mind confirming some theories because it feels obliged to always surprise. Not to mention the references to the original and other games that served as inspiration without looking like a copy. In overall i like this Retcon. The original angle of everyone being twisted experiments with the dead was rather cliché, the new angle of it all being the dark twisted creation by an artist in a dark place is far more fitting with the aesthetic theme itself. I do disagree with the notion of the world breaking down by the cycles. The world we move through had the cycle disrupted for over 200 days and i would theorize that THIS bending of reality beyond Joey Drew's original design is what was destabilizing everything. That the cycle resets and also renews.

I loved this new chapter in the story. The characters introduced were all amazing, Wilson, although being the most "I am the villain" character I've ever seen, is effective nonetheless, and none of the returning characters feel shoehorned in. It also fixed a lot of lore issues for me. For example, I used to think "Henry walked into the studio, saw it in _that_ state, and decided to keep going?" But now I know that this was never Dumb Character Syndrome, he simply never had a choice. My only real gripe was that we got absolutely no Sammy Lawrence action. I expected hum to be alive, considering he's already died about 4 times canonically, with 2 happening on-screen, 1 happening off-screen, and 1 happening before the events of BATIM. I just expected him to have a big role, I expected him yo go through an arc once he realises that this demon, this creature he worships and blindly hopes will set him free, has fallen victim to Wilson and is, despite all his power, just another suffering mess stuck inside an infinite loop. So, yeah, a bit of wasted potential, and I was hoping to see Boris come back (not Tom, my main man) but deep down I never expected it, as the first game really nailed in the fact that the deaths of Borises are a lot more permanent than the deaths of anyone else. Overall, great experience, I would like more but I know that'll take another long while, how I yearn for the days when I first discovered this game.

One thing I noticed is that Joey actually Created fake versions of Henry, Allison and Tom. Those three are still technically alive in the real world, not ink

Just a thought, but the name Audrey. Possibly a reference to the well-known actress Audrey Hepburn. Also Hepburn is believed to have been an inspiration for the character of Belle from Disney’s Beauty And the Beast. If this is so, then that makes Bendy the stand-in for The Beast.

I remember watching the original game when it was released, and looking back you can tell just how much the developers worked to make bendy's world even better. It is awesome to see Henry put into this game since we never really got to see his appearance in the original, and it is sad to know that he is still trapped in the cycle... poor guy. Thx for covering and playing the story of this game. After so long it is finally here!

Gotta say, this game was a pleasant surprise. It looks like those four years of delay were put to good use, this game feels much more properly planned out and detailed than even the final iteration of the first.

I find it funny that he said that Wilson at first seemed more friendly. To me, he always seemed like a creep, he just became a creep in a different way.

I hope the next game talks about Henry's backstory somehow, because I feel like we know almost absolutely nothing about him. Also, he needs a redemption arch after spending the majority of the time moping on a chair.

Would he have just died from Alice Angel attacking him after he beats Brute Boris because as Alice charges toward him, that’s the moment Allison would save Henry? Or does he die earlier by the Ink Demon’s hand?

The theme of a cycle that gets more breaks down the world with each repeat is reminiscent of dark souls story. I'm super into this concept and will have to give this game a try.

This game was awesome, the only thing I wanted more was to have sammy play a bigger role because of all the notes seemingly being left seemingly by him referencing that he still worships the ink demon which I thought might lead to a choice in joining wilson or sammy (and personally he is one of my favorite characters). If there is another game maybe it could do something like switching between the real and the inky world and Audrey could bring other characters like allison or sammy into (or back to) the real world.

I’ve just realized something. Both Porter and Heidi (however you spell her name) give Audrey an ability based on their names! Porter gives Audrey the teleport ability Heidi is a bit of a stretch but she gives Audrey the ability to “hide” in those link tunnels to access past areas!

At least Audrey was able to discover her origins in a healthier Way than Charlie in the fnaf novels. Too bad she technically has a crazed malicious demon faliure for an older brother. If I could do something about it, I would have been giving him both egoist quotes (Reminiscent of the core from amphibia), a short temper (Reminiscent of lord shen) and a petty side (Reminiscent of Dio Brando during the finale of phantom blood) with him saying things like: "my followers... Help me... Save me from that wretched parasite that took control of my body... And you'll have my gratitude and live under my protection... *FOREVER*". "KILL HER! SOMEBODY KILL HER ALREADY!!" "KEEP ATTACKING!!! KEEP ATTACKIIIIING!!!" While marching through the studio.

That would be sick for a third game. Traveling through a world full of color undercover. I bet you that there will be a part that while encountering multiple humans, our body starts to morph ink-like or something.

To say this was amazing would be an understatement. After years of waiting, BENDY gets the conclusion he deserved while playing a trail for a future game.

My Theories and some explanations: Because Alice Angel, Bertrum, and Sammy are all alive in Batdr, this probably means that Wilson screwed with the cycle and imprisoned Henry sometime during chapter 4. This also explains why Alice and Tom don't recognize Henry at the end of Chapter 5, because they never actually met until up to that point. 2. The Devs said Batdr is not a sequel or a prequel, but after watching the whole playthrough, I think its actually both at the same time because, Batdr is only a variation of the cycle, because Wilson found a way to mess with it and changed it; he didn't want anybody restarting the cycle. So, when Wilson dies and the Cycle gets reset, We play as Henry at Batim since Wilson isn't alive anymore. This could have also taken place after batim, it really depends on what you think. remember the end cutscene where Audrey says she can make things better for her friends in the cycle, with the camera on the "Illusion of Living" Book, after seeing this, It answered several things that happened to Henry in batim that was so lucky its ridiculous. For example, when Henry fights Bertrum, the moment he smashes the desk, an Axe just magically appears. There isn't any hidden compartments in the table that could house the Axe, but even if there was, it most likely would have been shattered by Bertrum as well. Audrey may have just "spawned" an Axe in front of him. But one thing I am still very confused about is why bendy looks different in Batdr compared to Batim, and I can't really find a canon explanation for it, mabye there isn't. (Side note): Ur a huge chad if you read this whole thing, I spent a fair amount of time on it! Also if Henry tried to pet Tom like Audrey did he would been sent flying across the ink river in Chapter 5
