Such a high-class British accent, think he grew up "upper middle class"? So many classes in old England. Can't we get along? But I really want to say, the shelters in Britain are SO MUCH better than the ones here in the USA! We need those kinds here, the homeless problem is terrible here, in every city in N. America, SO SAD. This movie may help I hope :(. Thanks to Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch and their great acting in this, my favorite of many Tom Hardy movies!

This man is seriously ruining my life.First he entices me completely with his acting.Then he seduces me with that voice.And then drives me crazy with his looks.If that was not enough he decides to always be nice and kind to his fans.And all the time is a gentleman.Aarrgghhh I hate him for being a perfect male yet so far away from my reach.

SAPNE SUHANE same. Absolute fucking same he's ruined me for anyone else since Atonement and he was even a creepy bastard in that so I can't win against his charms.

I just like how Cumberbatch manages to use his whole face when he talks. I don't know if it's a stage actor thing he's brought with him, but it sets him far and above most other actors, who learn to use large scale body language and voice intonation, but struggle to act with their eyebrows.

Perhaps she wasn't listening well? He is an excellent teller of a story - he fills in wonderful detail. Gets a bit circular, but each tangent always comes back around to the point. I find extended interviews with him fascinating. A brilliant, quick mind. And I enjoy that he does admit freely with his humble sense of humor that he loves to talk. :) Not in a narcissistic fashion... just a great story teller. His acting talent is utterly riveting to me... brilliant, focused... so smart.

I love his long interviews also. He has a lot of clarity that is easy to follow with complexity at many levels and points of view. Its rare to find.

BC did a fantastic job with the Alexander character especially hearing it at 17:25. I've watched the movie several times and marveled at how good he is. Shudder to think what a lesser actor could have done with it. Its too bad the movie isn't in circulation anymore.

Two such massively iconic characters probably not, the chance they'd get confused would be too big imho. Not to mention the scheduling conflicts. He would be a great Doctor indeed. :) But I'm glad Sherlock is such a massive hit.

It first aired in 2007, so that would be 6 years ago I believe. :)

As much as I think he'd make a fantastic Doctor, he said in an interview on Johnathon Ross that he didn't want to be part of Doctor Who. I was hoping that either him or Tom Hiddleston would be picked so now I'm just hoping for Tom. :)

lol okay, I'll be patient and wait till you come up with a name then :). I have to be honest, I haven't watched RDJ's Sherlock XD.
@eventhorizon11 жыл бұрын
I don't think it would have to be... Moffit has massive control of both, and even though Sherlock is 3 eps, but a long shoot- I'm positive, if BC seriously wanted to be the next Doctor, Moffit would make it work somehow. But, the interview I saw his reason was more about how being The Doctor really is a full time job even when you're not on set. I don't think he'd do it, but he'd be brilliant in the role.
@eventhorizon11 жыл бұрын
I think he could keep them seperated, he's really good at making each role pretty different than others- That said though, if it was one over the other- keep him on as Sherlock, hands down. But- if he did EVER decide to do DW, let him have his own hair color... lol.

@RaikenXion11 жыл бұрын
Regardless of what was said or announced, Im still holding out for Cumberbatch as the next Dr Who. Infact im pretty sure they will make a big budget live action movie of Doctor Who and I think they would have done it already, only they are probably waiting for Matt Smith's time to come as the Doctor. Then I think they will reboot Dr Who as a movie, because in the series hes only supposed to be able to re-generate 12 or 13 times anyway. Other than this guy, Id say Rob Downey Jr or Tom Hiddleston.
@kindabatooni9314 Жыл бұрын
Well he was chosen to be the doctor. Just a different one. Doctor Strange. 😊
@RaikenXion11 жыл бұрын
Well I dont think they would get too confused, theres been many cases of big name actors playing two equally huge roles in different movie/franchises and they have not been confused. lol I cant think of any at the mo but I'll get bk to you on this just to prove my point haha. But I did say if anything Id rather him play Sherlock than the Doctor if it was a choice of either one, infact Cumberbatch should have played Sherlock instead of RDJ, and Rob should have just played Watson.
@SKM654010 жыл бұрын
Why doesn't he have the lisp? In the other interview with Tom Hardy, he does. So does he actually speak like this or like in the other clip?
@SusanRosengaard10 жыл бұрын
Likely because he is the focus of the interview here so he brings his speech into line, as he does when he performs. Ben tends to lisp when he is very at ease, or tired.
@CinematicMaj11 жыл бұрын
What years was this??
@RaikenXion11 жыл бұрын
Well I would've thought he could still do both couldnt he?? But if not I guess I would rather him stay on as Sherlock, rather than play the Doctor, because with Sherlock he really has the potential to do that role for years, where as Dr Who would only last so long, but he would be the best ever Doctor if he did do it.
@Lottshorse11 жыл бұрын
XD
@sadeva653211 жыл бұрын
But if he does Dr. Who it'd be the end of Sherlock most likely. And that would be a real shame.
