Incredible speech. A clear example of what human wisdom, intelligence, clairvoyance and faith when articulated together, can produce. Benedict XVI had this unique faculty of explaining in very simple words complex issues like the mystery of the Eucharist. In this elocution he managed in a few words to transcend the whole purpose of Jesus Christ establishing the Eucharist for the whole humanity. In other words, to see the entire World including the Universe, through (within) the gift of the Eucharist. I miss him already. 😔

WE are all called to be Holy. If we are not holy we will not get into heaven. Jesus left us the apostles to lead us with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pope Benedict speaks the truth and does not mislead us. For that I am gratefull

@@TheLongSummer 1. According to experts he's one of the most outstanding living theologians. According to other professors and students in Germany he was very intelligent and inspiring teacher. He recived degrees at very young age and was reformer during second Vatican council. 2. Clearly you haven't done any research on Ratzinger's work, life and views on pathology in Vatican. Try something called "books" not Google. Don't talk about intelligence as you're very far from having anything to do with it.

Pope Benedict XVI was 89 years old here and was still able to give a profound speech without having to read it on paper as the Cardinals, Pope Francis, and his beloved secretary, Archbishop Georg Ganswein listen intently. Makes me sad to realize he did not have to abdicate his papacy. He is weaker, but definitely very sharp.

He informed previous pope about sexual scanadals, he demanded punishment for them but he couldn't do anything without JP2's consent. When he became a Pope he started to investigate sexual abuse cases again and finally removed Maciel. Also it was Ratzinger who finally wanted to solve problem with vatican bank.

The sheep knows the voice of their Shepard and they are waiting for him to come and rescue them. This has to happen for everything written in the scripture to come true.
