So..cloud is kinda like instead of buying your own generator, connect your electricity supply point to the national power grid for the benefit of economy of scale? thank ggodness the government didn't think of cloud first.

Cloud providers seem more expansive than having a dedicated machine because cloud provider charges for data transferred, process running per ms.

Both are good but I would think azure may have an edge for .Net since both are Microsoft based
