We recommend the Solos Squat wedges from Prime Fitness. Much more versatile than the single wedges shown here. Please see our Solos videos to see the additional benefits over the single wedge. Do not buy foam wedges or yoga wedges for squatting.

Allows me to work my legs and my mechanics even with 3 bulging discs. Started using the wedge, it has been a great tool

I've def been pushing with my back instead of my legs, which I think has been inhibiting my growth as my quads should have made more progress by now. I'm working on my mobility and form, but, in the meantime, my squat wedges are on the way and I'm so excited to try them.

Question: When using a slant board to shift the center of gravity back Wouldn't you prefer the whole foot, or atleast the whole tripod foot including the base of the big toe (understood that might want the big toe itself off if want to work on dorsiflexion of big toe but otherwise would want the big toe also on the slant board), on the slant board so that the foot is in an early stance rather than a late stance position which helps the hip bones Illium (ER to IR to ER), sacrum (counternutation to nutation to counternutation) etc. be in better positions ( easier for hips to get into more initial ER so have more space to IR into) and shifts the center of gravity back. Side Note: Something that I would think would be something that I expected you would talk about but have not heard you address (probably because I just haven't listened to enough of your material at this time) that I am also thinking about is that some of the ER muscles change what they do from ER to internally rotating the femur at greater degrees of hip flexion. I would be interested to hear you talk on that and how that affects the muscles.

I'm late to the party, trying to improve my ankle mobility but in the meantime I've been using a "the bob" wedge to squat deeper. Definitely is harder, and I feel a lot more in my quads. Do you think I should get the shoes or is the solo wedge fine? I am just trying to practice for free with the gym wedge but I didn't know if it would be detrimental for my growth. Thanks for the info.

@@HeyIntegrity 2 dudes at my gym had the adidas ones, the brand is irrelevant but what's important is how large the heels are for your needs. They sell them with different inches/CM's in size, so maybe test at the gym with plates or something and see what your ankles need. They really are the insta-fix for most people if you are warming up and stretching as well, I went cheap and left a 2x4 block at the gym haha. Or I use plates.

@benkse2010
@benkse2010 2 жыл бұрын
@@HeyIntegrity I usually use plates, so like 25-45, and those are all likely 1.5-2ish inches only. So I think 2 is good, just keep stretching and it will help even with plates. A lot of my butt wink is gone due to just stretching constantly. And I noticed when I do warm up sets, with like a a very high wedge, it stretches my calves out and lets me get deeper with the plates easier.

@3:47 would it be bad to angle your toes out on this one-piece wedge? (since it would cause your feet to over-pronate?)

Ok so I been tought and told for knees not to pass toes while squating. I have a bad knee and I still squat with belt squat and knee gets sore but nothing crazy. I have knee arthritis. These wedges look like they put all kinds of pressure in the knees as you squat and knee passes toe all the time. I am thinking this is really bad for people with bad knees??

Sorry but this seem like suicide. I can't do deep squats and probably need this, but I can't see how you can comfortably do a barbell squats with this? If it's front you have to step over and it's behind you that's even worse, because you have to walk backwards and guess where the wedges are with a heavy load on your back.
