@@laurenanderson7330 Its not a necessity. I was in Kenya recently. The kids were playing with rocks, lengths of discarded ropes, burst footballs etc. But none were drinking or on drugs and all were happier than Irish kids.

The south is just different. I live in the south in the United States and it's working class but I know my neighbors they know me. I get called all the time cuz they're older if I can pick them up something from the store on the way home from work and they pay me back. And if we haven't seen each other for a few days they will call and check on us and vice versa. My in-laws lived even in a more rural area of the state and they know all their neighbors even though they might be miles apart. If something happens everybody on the road is taking food or supplies. This is why I don't want to live in a big community. On one hand if you just want to be left alone it can be annoying but on the other hand I've been really thankful because of the community. I've lived places where if you run out of something and you have no money for a couple of days you can't go ask a neighbor to borrow something.

This is crazy bc i live like 30 minutes across the border in canada and its so different socially because here poor places all stick together most the time except for other neighborhods to eachother but if ur in housing ur gonna know most of ur neighbors on a first name basis

@@theL0VERS I guess it depends on the type of person you are. I don't want neighbors all over my business and life. I want my home to be a quiet private sanctuary. This street depicted in this series doesn't register as a " community " to me but rather a bunch of bored people without purpose bumping into each other's lives. To me, it feels like chaos and it would drive me mad.
