He carries himself with so much class and dignity, he’s so underrated because he’s doesn’t talk smack. Talk about skill set and I think his stand up is very underrated. He’s got a very tough fight against a young hungry fighter that was close to beating Islam at 22yrs of age.

@@DixonButts-69 Officially not, but in the UFC's eye, guys like 27 year-old Arman is part of the elites at 155, in the next 2-5 years, when Dustin, Justin, Michael, Clarles, Islam, Benny all would have retired. At his debut, at 23 or so, Arman fought a peaking 27 year old Islam... and it was quite close, given how touted Islam always has been, even before he made it to the To 10. Those close losses Arman had... against mostly the very elite... such things signaled to the top executives at THE ufc, this guy, if no major injuries, is going to be an elite/Top 5 before he gets to 30, regardless of the 2-3 losses he might suffer before turning 30.

Many people want to see that right again, so If Beneil puts a stop to that people will start to look at him as a threat again just as they did when Beneil beat Gamrot.

Honestly, I love Chandler but he is ridiculous. He fights all the scariest names in the top 5 but never fights down and spot squats. Even Poirier you can argue is a seasoned veteran of the promotion who's earned his right to be selective (although I quickly disagree given that Poirier refused #4 Dariush and even #1 Contender Charles, who already beat him) whereas Chandler jumped in (fair enough, a cross promotion champion with wins over Alvarez and Henderson, former UFC champions), seized his moment with an awesome TKO of Hooker who had just went to razor thin war with Poirier. But, to me, even if Arman lost a close one with Beneil, he should push Chandler out for #5. Particularly given that he avoided Islam on the come up and Arman too in favour of 2 and a half years away McGregor.

@@user-nv2wt4hi8t I think they shouldn’t count cross promotional fights, toothpick Henderson was one of my favorite lightweights but he was no longer ufc caliber when he joined bellator (obviously). Ben Askren is another example when a comes in due to his “cross promotion” accolades. Chandler needs to prove why he belongs deserves that #5 rank over the many fighters under him who had to fight their way up the roster in (my opinion) one of the scariest divisions in the most prominent organization

@@Shiggystardust Dude, Conor Mcgregor is past his prime and the only reason Michael Chandler wants to fight HIM over an actual active fighter, is because he's out of options. He's 37 and he's lost to everyone else in the top 5, spectacularly. He's using a washed up fighter, for a final payday. If that doesn't work out for him, he has to fight the next generation of fighters and with his terrible defense and poor cardiovascular management, he'll lose. His intentions are so transparent, it's not even worth talking about. At this point, everyone but Charles, is being selective and holding up the division, forcing Beneil to fight fighters below him, who aren't doing anything for his career but wearing him down. Dude deserved better, especially with a 9 fight win streak which is now tarnished.

He never should have been booked to fight Charles. He was on a 9 fight win streak, and people forget that before Islam was Champ, everrryone was turning Islam down and the 1 guy to raise his hand was Benny and so he deserved to fight for the title. Now I understand the argument that if he couldn't beat Charles then he never deserved it but he got caught. That can happen to anyone. He deserved a title fight instead of now I have to lean Armen this weekend and we get Islam vs Charles again when the first fight wasn't even remotely close. Could Charles win? Of course. As I said, anyone can get caught but outside of that, there's nothing I saw in Charles vs Islam 1 that makes me think a rematch will be any different. I don't know why the UFC seemingly has it out for Benny when he's always been a warrior who just fights who they put in front of him

Mike has absolutely no top 5 wins and he has that Dana White privilege because he's exciting. No. He qualifies it perfectly. If he wins, what does he get? A title shot? No. A guy ranked above him? No because Dustin refuses, Gaethje is holding out and Charles gets Islam next. So he gets nothing in better ranking, he gets nothing other than another opponent below him and he has to fight this monster for that little reward. Sure, people will given im props for winning IF he does but OK. Even Arman heaped praise on Ben for being the only real guy and one to accept.
