Designed by Beneteau trawler owners for trawler owners, the flagship Grand Trawler 62 (aka GT 62) champions space, storage and sterling cruising ability above all else.
The bold, muscular and modern trawler exterior styling converts into a high-volume three or four cabin interior with a spacious liveaboard salon that has a proper galley and separate dining area. The finish is a cut above normal Swift Trawler service, still clean and functional but with more finesse.
Sitting on the cusp of owner and crew operation, a decent two berth crew quarters lies aft, making a useful guest cabin if you choose the three-cabin layout.
The decks mix trawler sense with modern yachting luxury, with glass transoms to enjoy the seascape and wide, deep decks to make moving around easy. The flybridge is big, with an open aft deck, bar area and lounge seating. The optional hardtop is a must-have, especially as there’s no canopy alternative.
Power comes from twin Man i6 730hp engines, driving the semi-displacement hull to around 20 knots. The 4000lt (1,060gal) fuel capacity giving the Grand Trawler a range of around 1000nm.

Excellent article! The Rivals, all approx same distance. I think it is a pretty good value, maybe nicer finishes would help her! I really like Sirena yachts, but this one is definitely worth a look! If I may ask, what boats do you guys own and what would be a realistic dream boat for all of you?

I personally think with a little interior accent design help she would be a lot stronger against her Rivals!

Beneteau are what they are, high volumn production boats. I sail a Beneteau First 501, ex charter then based in St Maartin. Yes, she made it back to the uk across the Atlantic and the keel did not fall off, as many of my friends suggested. So why did we buy her? Simple we wanted a 50 footer that we could afford. 25 years on she sits in Mahon and three generations of the family are still enjoying her. A few pounds and a lot of hard work goes a long way. At seventy I doubt that I will ever be buying a Trawler. I would love one to spend extended retirement months on, maybe if the lottery is kind to me. Good review. 😀

Excellent review! She is perfect! Little darker wood would be my preference but other than that the layout is perfect!

Typically i am not a Beneteau fan but this whole layout looks spot on and ceiling heights are great all round.I for one am pleasantly surprised and on video things looks damn near perfect.Price wise you will be over or around 2.5 million £ when specced to taste,i reckon.

That main deck layout looks totally brilliant. Better than Azimut and Absolute, so much space. I wonder if they could put larger engines in for a bit more speed. The layout looks a bit like the flybridges from the 90s with a mid galley, like it.

No, not enough time for this amazing boat, you did not explain how the 4th cabin would fit in. Love the range, healm, crew quarters, now for a hottube, some water toys, I would buy this

If I recall correctly, the aft full beam master is split into two doubles, and the forward VIP becomes the master.

I think we've found the king of Ikea yachts. The cabinetry literally looks like one of those particle board do-it-yourself entertainment centers. Combined with that poor range, it's a hard pass.
