excellent video, well demonstrated! Is this product compatible with vertical blinds as they have two cords (one of opening and closing of the blind itself and another for tilting the angle of the blinds).?

Thanks for your quick answer. I have three. Any of this three charge the battery. May be i need to set up something. The solar receive the sun ray directly and nothing. I don't know what happen. There are in three windows that I need a 12 ' stair for remove all and charge plug in with the electric charger

I have the old style vertical blinds with the wand i mounted the motor sideways cut the wand and used a metal adapter to connect the rod to the wand now i can open and close the blind with the app..

Great video, I have a question, on my vertical blinds the ball chain has a connector to connect both sides. This connector is quite big. Is that a problem? Will it pass trough?

Tough one it should in theory work but best to try it, you could get it and return if no good.

Does this controller actually work with the light sensor.?..all videos seem to ignore this section. All I get (and others commenting) is that the motor doesn't connect when the light sensor (trickle charger) is plugged in.

Great instructional video. Quick question. I know it cannot be controlled when away from home but when the timer schedule is set, does this operate when the device, ie my smartphone that has the app installed is switched off or away from home?

Couple of tips make sure you select the correct cog and keep the blind cord fairly tight.

Has anyone used this with connectors? I bought two motors, one is perfect but the other one is slower and keeps stopping when the connector gets in the system. I don’t know if there’s a problem with the engine or it just won’t work

The charger is a trickle charge it all depends on usage and sunlight going onto the panel in theory it should be fine.

Also the up and down button seemed to work the opposite directions instead, how do I factory reset? Again I tried to follow the instructions to reset but the red light didn't seem to flash 3 times as said? :-(

Hi! Do you want to change directions? Because I can help you. But if you you want to reset I can share you too the steps. RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS: 1. Press 3 times "set" button (To enter programming mode) 2. Red LED start flashing 3. Press for 7 seconds "set" button 4. Blue led flashes 3 times CHANGE DIRECTIONS 1. Push UP-DOWN buttons (both at the same time) for 3 seconds 2. Indicator blue flashes 3 times

You're welcome, it's Bluetooth based so should be able to install on other devices.

You've reviewed quite a few of these blind motors. Which one was your favourite and why? I'm looking for something that integrates with the Smart Assistants, and if possible IFTTT but I haven't seen any that do that. Why does the Ajax online motor seem to have dropped off the face of the Earth?

Ajax online is my favourite as it integrates with smart life and is really simply to setup and no dramas, let me see if I can contact the person there and find out what's going on for you.

I heard back from them, they are having issues with their Amazon store which should be fixed soon, but they also sell on ebay so on ebay if you search for ajax online blind engine you should see their ebay store online. Hope that helps.

My AM43 blind drive stopped working, also app won’t connect anymore! I deleted it and tried to download it again! And it’s gone from the App Store . So is there any point in buying a new one .

I just bought one of these, and it didn't mention the app in this video, it said to connect directly via the Tuya smart life app, not that it works in my case, it will not connect to anything via Bluetooth, tried several different phones and both apps now.

Make sure you have bluetooth on and try a factory reset, details are in the instructions. Sometimes you have to hold the buttons a little longer just keep that in mind.

I'm confused by your closing comments. It's got a mains electric plug so why worry about battery life? Also I suspect many people want it to open & close their blinds, once in the morning and once in the evening, for several consecutive days whilst they are on holiday. It's got a timer function and it's got mains power but your video suggests that it can't do this. Can you clarify

The mains is more to charge the device.

The battery will run for only a few days. Solar charger not powerful enough in most light conditions (maybe different if you live in a very sunny climate). Charger will run auto opening and closing every day.

I think it can, but I didn't test that functionality, perhaps someone else can confirm.

@@GeekStreet thanks, I think it's all temperamental. I keep timing them to open and close at set times then activating the setting but it never works) Thanks for the KZfaq video anyway. I'd be lost without it as all I got was mandarin instructions and an app link to a Chinese version of the Google play store.

No it can only close in reaction to bright light conditions, and reopen when the light level falls again. That's if I can remember how I got access to this summer and winter function!
