From its humble beginnings in 1904, when a group of young visionaries laid the foundation for what would become a footballing powerhouse, to the present day, where Benfica remains Portugal's biggest football club.

Benfica is a very beloved team here in South America. We remember that they played the 1961 Intercontinental Cup against Peñarol 🇺🇾 . They came to play in Uruguay. Eusebio 🇵🇹, the best 9 in Europe at that time, faced off against Alberto Spencer 🇪🇨 (the top scorer in the history of the Copa Libertadores) and the best 9 in South America at that time and they put on a show. Benfica is very loved here in South America, greetings from Peru. ❤⚽

Не съм голям фен на футбола, но разбирам и уважам значението му за мъжката половина от човечеството. Той е част от историята и културата на народите, където е разпространен. В Лисабон видях централата на вашия футболен ръководен орган с голям портрет на Роналдо. Развълнувах се - велик футболист, притежава сила и елегантна пластичност. За сведение, в България през 1912 година в родния ми град Пловдив е основан първият футболен отбор - Ботев, който и днес има най-многобройната публика в страната. Да живее футбола!

@@POVTours Ботев се раздели с Балтазар, като причината беше 12 поредни загуби на отбора. Не се получи добър контакт между футболистите и треньора, но това не означава, че не е добър като треньор. Има твърде много различни фактори, които определят крайния резултат, а футболните фенове непременно искат победи от любимия си тим. Сега Ботев е във възход с новия треньор от Сърбия - Керкез. Така е във футбола - възходи и падения. Хубав ден от мен!

Papai gostava muito do Eusébio. Eu me lembro do papai elogiá-lo. Papai era Galo, o Atlético mineiro. Mas só um irmão meu gosta de futebol. Mesmo assim, não é de torcer. Já a família do meu tio, irmão da minha mãe... Até o mais jovem, que era Cruzeirense, já está torcendo para o Galo! Conseguiram convencer o rapaz!😆😆😆 Eu penso que torcedores são muito parecidos ao redor do mundo. Olá Maria! 😀 Eusébio nos anos 60 estava quase ao nível de Pelé, se Portugal tivesse uma seleção um pouco mais forte (a de 1966 era muito boa), ele teria sido mais famoso ainda. Torcedores de futebol, seja em que lugar for, é tudo maluco, doença terrível! 😅 E eu falo por mim também. 😅 Este é um vídeo que eu sei que a maioria dos inscritos não tem interesse, daí o fraco número de visualizações até agora. Mas de vez em quando tenho que colocar vídeos "diferentes", porque eu sinto que este género de canais fazem vídeos sempre iguais, nos mesmos locais, e a longo prazo as pessoas vão-se cansar e deixar de assistir. No fim de semana já será um vídeo mais normal, numa cidade que nunca mostrei até hoje. 😉 Possivelmente será no sábado, domingo é dia de eleições aqui. Abraços e uma boa semana!

J ai encore regardé la video ! 1905 la pharmacie Franco ! Le llycée Francais à la place de l ancien terrain ! Les vieilles pelouses remplacées par des immeubles ! Les déménagements successifs. L aigle ! Lisbonne au début du siècle en 1940 dans les années 1960 ! Les rencontres avec les Anglais Le vieux autoucar les joie simple et non violente des supporters qui courent ! L avion à hélice ! L ancien stade de la Luz ! Un jour il y a eu Bruno là bas! ! L aéroport de Lisbonne c est unique dans la ville de Lisbonne ! Les avions à hélices. ! Le but de la tête de Benfica en finale ! Thank you for posting a fun sports history video. It is interesting that Sports Lisboa Benfica (SLB) was originally Sports Lisboa Belem (SLB) and that the history of the SL Benfica involved great foresight on the part of many; SL Benfica suffering through financial deprivation at a time when inflation was high; and, last but not least, that when constructing a new school was a priority, SL Benfica had to succumb to “the law of eminent domain” imposed by the city of Lisbon. It is clear that you are an undying fan of Sport Lisboa Benfica. So, since you were there in 1987, when SL Benfica defeated F.C. Porto, can we baptize you “E Pluribus (over 135 thousand) Unum (Miguel)”?

I was very very young in 1987, the noise inside the stadium was overwhelming! I remember I had tears in my eyes before the game began, I was overcome with emotion, seeing 134.999 people there. The stadium was full to the brim. 😁 E Pluribus Unum was be a wonderful nickname!

Bem legal. Aqui no Brasil temos a rivalidade entre Gremio(azul) e o Internacional(vermelho), semelhante a rivalidade aí de Benfica e Porto 😆, sou torcedor do Gremio. A estatua do Eusébio é muito bem feita. Obrigado pelo video, abraços :)

Conheço uns que dizem Benfica ser o melhor, outros dizem o Porto. 😅 Mas como português que cresceu além-mar, não pendo a um lado nem ao outro! Cresci a acompanhar outra equipa, no que é eternamente considerado o verdadeiro berço do melhor futebol do mundo: Estádio da "Vila Belmiro", onde inúmeras vitórias testemunhei do meu saudoso e eterno Santos!

@@POVTours Sim, e foi um verdadeiro choque ver o Santos cair a segunda divisão! Mas no campeonato regional (Campeonato Paulista), a equipa está avançando rumo a - quem sabe - mais uma conquista! ☺ E neste ano já foram feitas algumas reformulações muito importantes... Apesar que o problema maior do Santos é algo que provem do lado financeiro, já que os que estavam na administração do clube, mais colocavam dinheiro no próprio bolso, do que investiam em novos nomes para o elenco. (E o resultado disto, foi o inevitável rebaixamento).

Boa tarde Miguel, que legal conhecer a história do Benfica, de uma forma bem interessante, levando nós adoradores deste esporte o futebol que a história é repleta de sangue e suor.. Muito legal você nos mostrar os locais de origem do Benfica, e como nada foi fácil, e eu creio que por isso a ligação torcedor e clube é muito forte. Meu time aqui no Brasil é o Vasco da Gama, então a ligação com Portugal é forte. Eu sempre que viajo tenho como objetivo conhecer estádios nas cidades e quando fui a Lisboa conheci o estádio do Benfica realmente belíssimo , fico imaginando como seria o mundo sem o futebol ⚽, creio que já teria acabado por tédio 😂. Não deve ter sido difícil você fazer este vídeo, afinal ser um torcedor do clube facilita...Agora quero ver você fazer um vídeo do Porto ou Sporting 🤣🤣🤣.. abraços meu amigo e vamos aguardar o tour pelo estádio, vai ser ótimo porque quando aí fui não fiz porque não havia no dia... abraços e uma ótima semana 👏👍💪

Boa tarde Sergio Vascaíno! 😀 O atual estádio do Benfica é muito bonito, mas o anterior tinha uma magia que é difícil descrever... Era mais genuíno, rudimentar, do povo. Este novo é incrivel, mas... não tem aquela alma especial, eu acho. É muito corporativo, virado para o lucro. Na verdade eu não gosto de futebol moderno. 😅 Vídeo do Sporting até podia fazer (mas acho que não farei 😁), agora do Porto a probabilidade é zero. 😅 O que poderei fazer um dia é de outro clube de Lisboa, o Beleneneses. Outrora um grande clube até à década de 1970, agora é muito mais insignificante. Mas a sua história está de certa forma ligada com a do Benfica, tendo sido fundado em Belém também, por ex-jogadores do Benfica. Abraços e uma ótima semana!

Bom dia Miguel, imagino que tenhas tido um bocado de trabalho para obter todas essas informações ou talvez as tenhas obtido no próprio Benfica e com todas essas dificuldades só poderiam ter mais vontade da ganhar títulos. Essa doença é parecida com a que temos aqui em relação a Corinthians x Palmeiras, cá entre nós a camisola do Sporting é horrivel, as listas horizontais verde e branco não combinam. Esse mural, quantos craques, a começar como não poderia deixar de ser pelo Euzébio, Simões, Costa Pereira, o grande goleiro, ou guarda valas como se dizia antigamente. O time da Pampi- lhosa é patrocinado pelo C.F. do Porto, cujas camisolas são iguais e até as iniciais ( CFP) C.F.Porto-C.F.Pampilhosa. A maior injustiça feita com o futebol português foi o roubo descarado em 1966 na copa do mundo contra a Inglaterra. No Brasil foi grande a revolta até dos brasileiros por esse facto. Aqui na construção do estádio da Portuguesa de Desportos também foi mobilizada a sociedade, inclusive muitos brasileiros torcedores da "Lusa", infelizmente devido às más admi- nistrações a Portuguesa está fora da 1ª série do campeonato brasileiro. Obrigado Miguel por este video, trouxes-te boas lembranças a este benfiquista, até o próximo vídeo se Deus quizer. Abçs.

Este vídeo foi o que me deu mais trabalho até hoje! Foram vários dias de gravações (não dava pra visitar todos os locais num só dia), muita leitura de documentos históricos, muitas horas no computador... 🙂 Sim, em 1966 Portugal teria sido campeão do mundo se não tivesse sido organizado pela Inglaterra, mas a equipa da casa já se sabe... Grande abraço de benfiquista e até o próximo vídeo! (Daqui a umas semanas publicarei a visita ao interior do estádio)

@@viriato7 Esse jogo de 1987... eu era criança, um dos primeiros jogos que fui ver, e nunca mais irei esquecer. Quando entrei no estádio já estava cheio como um ovo, até me vieram as lágrimas aos olhos de emoção, uma atmosfera incrivel! C est une très belle vidéo. Émouvante. L âme du Portugal est à Benfica . Benfica est un club pauvre! Marseille aussi est club pauvre aux couleurs bleu de Marie . Comme Benfica nos deux clubs sont des clubs pauvres et ils sont CATHOLIQUES !Même si les joueurs ne sont pas toujours catholiques Benfica et Marseille sont Portugais et Français et catholiques Jésus Christ aussi était pauvre très pauvre .
