3 жыл бұрынFrench repertoire holds a special place in the heart of Benjamin Bernheim, one of the leading tenors of the new generation of singers. Bernheim’s list of recent performances, including the Opéra National de Bordeaux, underline his status as the opera world’s brightest rising star. His Deutsche Grammophon debut album, in which he is accompanied by the Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Emmanuel Villaume, captures the central roles in his current Romantic repertoire, including Charles Gounod's aria from 'Romeo et Juliette'.
Recorded live in November of 2019 at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, 'Ah Leve toi soleil' from Act III of Gounod's 'Romeo et Juliette' features the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine under the baton of Oleksandr Yankevych.

My favorite recording is the magnificent 1947 Romeo and Juliet with Jussi Bjorling & Bidu Sayao in the title roles.

On CD the 1947 Bidu Sayao/ Bjorling recording on DVD the Alagna/ Vaduva performance both perfect in the roles.

Formidable chanteur. Je viens de le voir et de l’entendre dans Roméo et Juliette de Gounod à l’opéra Bastille. Une pure merveille. L’égal des plus grands (Jonas Kaufmann notamment).

Really beautiful sound. The voice is all silvery and produced with such ease which helps with the legato. Fine use of dynamics also. Gonna look for more from him.

Oui moi aussi très touchée par sa voix et son interprétation. Je l’ai vu sur scène il y a 3 jours avec Elsa Dreisig dans Juliette. Le couple parfait. Si vous êtes à Paris ne les ratez pas. C’est en ce moment. 😊

Belle musicalité techniquement il est bien dans les resonateur par contre il ne va pas chercher asser en profondeur dans la collone d air c est pour çà qui est limitée dans l aigue mon professeur disait pour chanter haut il faut penser bas dommage
