Oh man. I've liked this rifle model ever since I first laid my eyes on it (in some shot show video maybe?). And I'm wanting one just more and more. Been wanting a Hatsan Factor for a while - but I really do not like the magazine on it. This Gunnar calls me way more.. Yea. I'm a sucker for these AR styled airguns. I only own a Sig Sauer Virtus PCP as of now - so I'd now wanna step up for a more longer range and more accurate rifle...but without paying what they want for a Huben K1.. And I'm a sucker for tinkering. Would love to do some work on one of these.
@tylerpatner6591
@tylerpatner6591 2 жыл бұрын
I think you'll be happy either way (between the Factor and Gunnar), but the Factor RC definitely has an edge in terms of the things you can adjust on it. With that said, I haven't had too much time with one yet but I know from initial reports it may not be the most powerful gun in Hatsans line up. So it really comes down to what you value more in terms of modifications vs out of the box capability/performance. Tough decision either way.

@@tylerpatner6591 The Factor (and RC) at least is available over here in Finland. The RC model just costs about 350e more than the unregulated one. I do love options - but not sure of how much I'd be willing to pay for it - especially when doing your own tinkering is so much more interesting. The Gunnar seems way sweet. But dunno of the availability over here in the (near?) future. But definitely one I'd consider.. One being also on my mind is the Umarex Walther Reign. Love the futuristic looks of it. Caught my eye instantly - way before it was released onto the market even. Has done seemingly well in recent reviews. Surely all in a plastic shell - but I just love how the magazine goes into it. And been "only" (🤣) around 900e in price. PS. Thank you for the replies. I never woulda thought of any. It's a huge honor.

@@brorjordas1979 You're highlighting a great thing about the airgun market today. There are so many options, and good options at that. It's great! I can understand your dilemma. The regular Factor isn't available over here, just the RC, so I don't know much about it. If the Gunnar makes it over there, that could definitely suit your needs. The Reign is a cool gun for sure. The version we got here in the US was a little different than what was originally shown/advertised, which was a little bit of a let down. It was supposed to be moderated (quiet) and regulated. A real shame it didn't make it to market with the reg. I will say, the polymer on that gun is basically the same as what they use on the Walther pistols and is VERY nice! Super high end, quality stuff. Definitely worth a look if you like a bullpup and don't want to spend FX money,

I really like this rifle. I wish it came in 177cal. 👍🇺🇸
@Beesa10
@Beesa10 2 жыл бұрын
Genuine question, Why? Larger calibres use the air more efficiently and the choice of heavier pellets keeps velocities subsonic which really helps accuracy in powerful PCP airguns. 177cal is a good choice if you want maximum velocity from a limited powerplant, if you are shooting 10m targets with 6ftlb energy or 'knock-down' field targets which have standard size kill zones or if you want the most ammo for your money. Otherwise 22cal or 25 is probably a better choice.

@@heithwatkins Yes but in a powerful PCP what's the advantage of 177 over 22 ?
@heithwatkins
@heithwatkins 2 жыл бұрын
@@Beesa10 Depends upon what you want to do. Field Target is better with 177cal. It's more safe if you live in urban areas. It can be tuned from 12ft pounds to 40ft pounds in certain guns. It's the cheapest ammo. Crossman 10.5gr are only $11.49 per tin of 500. That's a heavy pellet for 177cal. I shoot alot at my house. So it works for me. For instance. I get 150 shots in my Avenger in it's current tune in 177cal. 👍

I bought the .22 Gunnar and it leaked like crazy the first time I was airing it up. Pyramid Air replaced it rather quickly. The replacement Gunnar (also in .22) had the baffles and barrel shroud damaged when a pellet clipped the baffles. Luckily my DonnyFL Sumo was not damaged. Not sure how or why there was a misalignment of the baffles because up to that point the rifle was shooting very well. Great groups with cheap Crosman Premier domed pellets. Crosman/Benjamin called and said they fixed my gun and I am anxious to get it back and do some pest control with it. I may end up leaving the Gunnar set at the lowest power setting and designate it as my “back yard” pest control rig, and leave the heavy duty work for my Brocock Sniper XR Magnum in .25 caliber.

@tylerpatner6591 2 жыл бұрын
Interesting, but glad to hear it's resolved now. With the noise level, I think it's a great option for backyard shooters, especially as you turn the power down. Should work really well for you in that regard.

Is it better then a dream tac? As far as accuracy. Idk the fx also comes with different barrels to shoot slugs. Will you test slugs in it and let us know on IG or something? Love the ar parts, I think a lot of airguns have been coming around to that. Great video!

Overpriced Turkish air rifle (Kral). This would have been a hit if it would have come to the market 2 years ago. Newer, better and cheaper air rifles to compete with now.
@tylerpatner6591
@tylerpatner6591 2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about better for the price, you'd have to give some examples at least. Here in the US, it's definitely got some stiff competition at the $1000 price point, but I am not seeing much that's less expensive than it with the same feature set.
@dutchsailor6620
@dutchsailor6620 2 жыл бұрын
@@tylerpatner6591 Not many features as far as I can see: 13 in a dozen regulated tactical look bottle rifle that can not be adjusted without removing the bottle and hardly any plenum capacity. Just some examples for some better priced rifles : Reximex Throne (I love this rifle for around $850 ), Kral Arms puncher Synthetic ($495) or Kral Puncher jumbo Dazzle ($545) are just a few of them. Just add a Artemis bottle regulator to the Krals ($135) and you are good to go at a price point where these rifles belong. For the money spend on a Gunnar you can get yourself a FX Dreamline were all the upgrades you could ever want are available. I think Benjamin tries to profile the Gunnar in a market segment where it doesn't belong, at the end of the day its just another rebranded Kral without anything special to justify its current price tag. BTW, I just saw TNT episode 5 were you basically agree as far as price goes for affordable and well equipped air rifles in general. Potential costumers for mid to high level air rifles are better informed than a few years ago, so prices will have to more or less reflect a realistic value for a product.
@tylerpatner6591
@tylerpatner6591 2 жыл бұрын
@@dutchsailor6620 The Throne is a cool gun, although the styling is much different than the Gunnar, but definitely a lot of high end features in that gun. The Jumbo is also super nice (really like that gun) but not regulated. I don't disagree with the dreamline comparison. At the price point, that's the biggest point of competition, but you do still have a few hundred dollar gap between this and one of the Dream Tac models. From my perspective, I like options. And I also like that Crosman/Benjamin will support the product. They do back it with a 5 year warranty. That has to mean something.

OK lets change the camera angle, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Wow the first 6 mins of video you must have done that at least 50 times, new record boys. While the rest of you tube content providers have moved on from this type of Tom foolery with the dual camera lets pretend we have a studio audience were looking at stuff Pyramid air's video editor seems to be fascinated with it to an alarming rate it would seem. You guys want more subscribers then perhaps cool it with this camera mockery. Tyler is a great presenter and when he's looking at me and talking he has my full attention, when the angle changes and he's no longer looking at me / the viewer then that bond is broken and I no longer want to watch, why should I look at him if he no longer wants to look at the viewer. I mention this because the topic has been brought up on many other channels ( not by me ) that I subscribe to on different topics because it was heavily copied all over, most have gained there sense and moved away from disconnecting from their viewers with such stunts. To be honest im not sure how much longer I will continue watching and subscribing to pyramid air videos because of this . sure one needs to change camera angles when showing off the product but it adds absolutely nothing to the video when the presenter is talking to viewers in general. Don't worry if I leave as a subscriber then I wont let the door hit me on the butt on the way out however I sure hope it wont come down to that. But hey at least their not playing loud music when Tyler is talking , that's another annoying thing that was copied to death on you tube. All things aside it was a great review, just found it hard to concentrate on it is all.
