Daaamn why is everyone else’s special quest so lame but HufflePuffs get AZKABAN! Of all places.

My friend who is in Slytherin watched me, a Hufflepuff, go to Azkaban and was immediately jealous as he never got that in his game play. 😂

I think thematically Slytherin makes the most sense to the story since Sebastian would be the first student you meet, and his story is by far the deepest quest line that honestly feels better than even the main story

As a Ravenclaw I really enjoyed the banter with Sebastian as we explored catacombs. The witty back and forth, snapping teases at each other was one of the truest "friendship" moments the game had to offer. " You're not a bad chap'...for a Slytherin" / "For a Ravenclaw you have yet much to learn".

I wish there were more House specific quests like this in the game.

I did Ravenclaw, and what really bugged me was the fact that the quest ended without having me bring the wand back to Ollivander. As if the game was like: "Oh right, the famous wand that Ollivander wanted back to bring peace inside his family! Meh, who cares?"

Hufflepuff got the objectively best version of this quest, but I’m going to maintain Slytherin is the best house in the game simply because it make’s Sebastian’s plot much deeper. The friendship between you, Ominis, and Sebastian feels a lot more genuine when you’re all in the same house and seeing the group fall apart hits home more. It’s probably the best questline in the game because it’s essentially “what if you had a core trio like in HP but Ron Weasley slowly turned evil?”

The Ravenclaw common room is by far the best. The fact that is in the sky and it looks so stylish is beautiful.

As a Hufflepuff I was so excited to go to azkaban and actually see even a small part of it but when I went to tell my BF about it he was a RavenClaw and had no idea what I was on about🤣 we didn't know each house had its own stuff at the time

For me, more than visiting Azkaban (which is honestly pretty quick but interesting anyway), I particularly liked how Hufflepuff's quest felt more like a true ending. It's the only version of the story in which Jackdaw discovers about Anne's fate, and the only one in which she's proven innocent.

Jackdaw's quest was quite interesting from each House perspectives, as it basically challenges your values. Your daring nature for Gryffindor. (Stealing for a friend, and participate in a ghost party) Your intelligence for Ravenclaw. (Solving a puzzle) Your cunning nature for Slytherin. (Negotiating with an elf for favors) Your sense of justice for Hufflepuff. (Bringing justice to a broken woman)

Love the Hufflepuff quest, but I especially love how our common room looks like a hobbit hole.

For anyone that's upset about Azkaban being a Hufflepuff inclusive and is thinking about playing Hufflepuff only for this reason - You're inside of Azkaban for maybe 2-3min before you talk to a old lady in there and that's it. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is pretty nice but other than that you're not missing out on much.

I will say, Jackdaw did say he thought Anne left him and was heart broken(that is why he was traveling the world after he died). So didn't know she was even accused of killing him. It's definitely got a Romeo and Juliet vibe going on. Bad communication will be the death of us all :)

From a story perspective, I liked Gryffindor’s quest because it made sense. But it would’ve been cool if all the Houses got their own special location to visit that isn’t revisitable. Like Ravenclaw could’ve gone to Diagon Alley, Slytherin could’ve gone to The Chamber of Secrets, Gryffindor could’ve gone to Godric’s Hollow, or possibly a house could’ve gone to the Ministry of Magic HQ.

I just confirmed that inside the Slytherin common room the upper windows are fully submerged in water, while they are not from the outside. When you trigger the kraken, you see air bubbles going up the round windows. Canonically they should be fully submerged. I think it was book 7 where Harry said the Slytherin common room was at the bottom of the lake (shortly before going to the Malfoy mansion).

I've played up to at least the Map Room as all four houses (Ravenclaw is my main playthrough and the only one I've 100%). It was really neat seeing the different angles of this quest told from the four perspectives. I liked all of the quests with them ranging from good to great. I'd rank them as follows: 4. Ollivander's Legacy (Ravenclaw). While I am disappointed that I have to put my house's quest at the bottom, I only do so because it is the shortest and least complex of the four. You only solve one fun little puzzle at the Owlery and it's over. But it does have some nice details about Ollivander's family and the scene with Jackdaw at the Owlery is pretty fun. 3. Scrope's Last Hope (Slytherin). I put this at the third because, like with the Ravenclaw quest, it is relatively simple. But it's a little higher due to getting some more interactions with Scrope, learning more about the Black family, being able to explore the hidden grotto, and the fun reference to the Hogwarts giant squid. 2. The Hunt for the Missing Pages (Gryffindor). This quest was surprisingly beefy in size (pun intended). You get lots of time with Nearly Headless Nick, you get to explore the kitchens and talk to the house elves there, and you get to meet and play a game with the Headless Hunt. 1. Prisoner of Love (Hufflepuff). It's crazy just how good this quest is. You get some more worldbuilding of the wizarding world and the Diggory family, you involve yourself with a very interesting and tragic murder mystery plot, you get to visit Azkaban prison, you get to see Dementors and the Patronus Charm, and you have a really tragically creepy scene of talking to Anne. It's a dark and complex quest and, clearly, was my overall favorite of the four.

I am in the middle of doing the Hufflepuff version, thinking everyone gets to go to Azkaban 😂 and now seeing people complain that Hufflepuff gets the cool version all I can think is "Aww man! I missed out on a ghost party?"

The Azkaban visit was disturbing lol, I was wondering why they assigned it to Hufflepuff. It wouldve made more sense if each different scenario correlated with house traits, like beasts or botanicals for Hufflepuff, puzzles for Ravenclaw, something dark for Slytherin, something brave for Gryfindor etc.

I'm in slytherin and I honestly love it. There's a ton of unique side quests. Not going into details because of spoilers but I'm happy with my house I linked my account from the wizarding world website so I was able to keep my house and my wand which is awesome by the way

I played Ravenclaw and then Hufflepuff and I freaked out after Azkaban thinking I'm suffering from memory loss. That was before knowing the main story is actually the one that differs and not some side stuff! Great video, thank you for tying everything together! Wow... I played through as Slytherin and 100% the story. I do think that being a Slytherin makes the most sense for the overall story and many side quests. As detailed as Sebastian's storyline is it wouldn't make as much sense for him to be as trusting of an "outsider" with all of his own and the Gaunt's family secrets. Watching this video now only makes me want to experience Azkaban as a Hufflepuff.

One additional thing to consider for follow on playthroughs is that witches get to see the entire common rooms while wizards do not. The Gryffindor common room is fairly movie accurate, but for the wizards is incredibly small compared to the other common rooms until you realize you can't go to the witches section, and there are lootable chests in that area. So just something to consider for a second playthrough.

I'm Hufflepuff. I legit teared up when I saw Azkaban. It was such a surprise & unique to Harry Potter. I'm glad I got that quest line.

I played full story with Slytherin because i did the test to link accounts and get extra skins, lol, and thought that at least would start a new character in all the houses later. I started a new character for Hufflepuff for no specific reason and the unexpected visit to Azkaban bit blew me away, really messed up story overall.

I do admit that's it's nice that each House gets a different mission regarding Richard Jackdaw, but I also think it would have been equally good if those other quests appeared as side-missions so that the main character could learn about Jackdaw's full backstory

I just bought the game a few days ago and I chose Ravenclaw because I named my character and modeled her after Luna Lovegood. I am also a Ravenclaw personally so this just made sense. That said I have to admit if I do a second playthrough I may make a Hufflepuff (shudder), just to see Azkaban.

I'm currently a Gryffindor, and the fact that you get different gameplay with each house means I'll be playing this for quite some time!

Thought Jackdaw pursued Anne because Apollonia wasn't receptive for his advances. And then Apollonia after figuring he likes a 'mudblood' decided to split them up and then frame her. Either cause mudblood, jealousy or the insult to her ego I suppose

I didn't see it in the comments, but the mission 'Ghost of our Love' is connected to this story as well, since you find a love letter from Richard to Apollonia, which guides you to the Forbidden Forest, to a romantic dinner-for-two set-up, and a treasure chest.

Honestly, I just picked Hufflepuff simply because I can easily relate to all the traits mentioned in it. As for the other houses, not even close. Genuinely surprised Hufflepuff isn't widely praised...granted, I know next to nothing about Harry Potter aside from a few memories of the films.

Simple solution for me when I finally get the game: Play through once in each house so I can try everything. I like how there's different things to do specific to each house. That way the game has more replay value. (To me, anyway)

Who ever made this game and the multiple quests took time and effort. This game goes to a big level to meet and exceed players expectations.

I chose Hufflepuff blind because I love that house and had no idea other houses didn't get a chance to visit Azkaban. It was such a cool story too.

I feel like while you'll have a good time no matter which house you choose I feel like the story and side quests are geared towards a Slytherin or Hufflepuff in terms of the characters the story encourages you to interact with.

Currently a Hufflepuff, and this quest was interesting. Azkaban was spooky but incredible at the same time!

Luckily the one divergent quest is relatively early on. I recommend anyone who loves the game create extra saves with each of the three other houses and just play those until the map room. You'll get to see all the parts that way. Differences after that are mostly just an odd dialogue change here and there, nothing major. You'll even get an achievement for reaching the map room with every house.

I actually really liked the fact the first version I had was the Gryffindor quest. Me seeking the ghosts sounds a lot less random than the ghost showing up after solving something unrelated. Azkaban is the best quest but as a first experience the headless hunt was way more immersive and cool.

I remember being really mad about the Slytherin quest thing, then I remembered that I finished the game so fast and sped through the story so I could learn avada kedavra 🤣 still would be nice to fight dementors but eh well. Shelved the game until the dlc comes out. Beautiful game 💕🥰

This was standard in Morrowind. Several playthroughs didn't have to be repetitive. You could only join one of the great houses, and it was all unique quests for that house. Plus you got to play out various sides of the same events.

only 1 small quest chain within the main quest line is different for each house. Jackdaw's quest. that's it. everything else that is different for each house is insignificant.

I've seen all the house quests because I had to, can't get the platinum without getting to the map chamber with every house and therefore experiencing all of this. In the grand scheme of things none of this really matters much so you might as well just play the house you liked most before the game. The in game difference is like 2 minutes of extra dialogue with some characters, a 5-10 minute quest, and the house quarters that you will likely spend less than 10 minutes in throughout the entire game as almost nothing happens there and your characters real personal space where you spend a lot more time will be the room of requirement. The difference the house makes is incredibly minimal, less than 30 minutes of house exclusive content in the context of a 80-100 hour game.

I've had a hankering to revisit HogLeg to do some collectible cleanup, but it's so daunting trying to navigate the castle to find everything

This makes more sense as to why my Ravenclaw best friend who was several hours ahead of me in the game was confused when I, a Slytherin, was feeding toast to a giant squid mosaic lol

If I recall correctly Apollonia and Richard might have been an item, (these this quest where you follow candles to a picnic in the forbidden forest, it's Addressed to Apollonia and signed with R (Richard) However I think they split because I remember a dialogue option (in Ravenclaw route I believe is where I heard it) where Richard says that Apollonia's heart had grown cold. So I think she lost interest in him. So he moved on to the next girl, who was Anne. Not 100% sure if she is a muggleborn but it would make sense that Apollonia would frame Anne because she is one, and because she (Apollonia) would probably be the next suspect.

As someone who made it to the Map Room with a character from each house I'm glad I didn't choose Hufflepuff for the Azkaban quest. It's really a blink and you miss type thing 😆, their common room is one of the best though

I got Gryffindor and really loved the jackdaw quest. I got to join the Headless Hunt party and play with them, spend time with Nearly Headless Nick, talk to house elves, and explore the kitchen. It was a great quest. I beat the game as a Gryffindor. And am now playing through as a Hufflepuff. I also really like the Jackdaw quest with Hufflepuff It really opened up more to the story of Jackdaw and Anne and Appolonia. Touring Azkaban, investigating Anne's case, and solving the puzzle were all pretty fun too. I was so excited to see Azkaban and get more detail to the story. Anne's story is really sad. And it was very well thought out. I plan to play through all of the houses. It's fun to have different play throughs. There's still some slight dialogue changes unique to each house too. I really appreciate all the work that was put in to creating this wizarding world and that it was done so amazingly well. I really hope for more content. You come in as a fifth year. I'd love to have more adventures for years 6 and 7 and maybe even ministry experiences too. I really wish there was Quidditch and I'd really love to bring my patronus over from the Wizarding World. I'm glad I got my house and my wand.

I was sorted into Hufflepuff and went with it and discovered the difference when telling my sister *she's further in the game* where I was and she was confused since I went to Azkaban and she didn't for that quest

I was honestly expecting there to be many more differences or at least larger/more significant ones between the houses. Glad there *are* some at all, though.

Hufflepuffs may get to go to Azkaban, buy Slytherins get massively different dialog with some of the most important characters in the game, all of which are Slytherin.

I have never been prouder to be a Hufflepuff, solely do to the fact that I got to visit Azkaban when the other houses didn't, and the fact that you get to see Jackdaw's quest line from a different point of view from the other houses.

I love love love the Slytherin common room, if not just for the music but everything else, too. So moody and calming.

I’m a gryffindor and the headless hunt was interesting and he seemed like a lover boy to me from that end just started a ravenclaw walkthrough bc that’s the only other house I was sorted into every other time it’s been griffyndor but now I wanna go to Azkaban😭😂

As a current slytherin. It makes the most sense for the all around story experience to be slytherin. Besides the whole Hufflepuff and Azkaban thing. The story flows and makes it more realistic as far as trusting one another between sebastian and my character.

Considering I found a cryptic note during the headless hunt and lead to the way to a picnic are he set up for Apollonia in the Forbidden Forest just off the path we take with him.

I’ve never seen any of the HP franchises other than some clips of Voldemort, but I gotta say, Hogwarts Legacy is a surprisingly fun game. I absolutely LOVE the combat. I’m on the last quest and I don’t wanna finish the game just yet.

I didn't realize Azkaban is a Hufflepuff exclusive, it brings me a new sense of pride for my house!

I took the ravenclaw path, plus i latter found the House of the thistlewood auror, with letters of her past, interesting that you actually get involvet in that in a alternative story, im mostly anoyet you never find his wand that he so wisht you could return to him, on the brightside you get a trophy fore finding the maproom as a Ravenclaw.

If you just starting playing I suggest you pick whatever u feel like it. I picked raven claws cuz what they stand for.

Okay this makes more sense now. Im playing as a hufflepuff and i found the squid cave on my own but i couldnt figure out what it was for. Now i know that its because i cant enter it, and it was only for the Slytherins 😅

Everyone sweating Azkaban when it's really sad, short, and dark... the ghost party was fun, hilarious, and interesting. Poor Nick.

Hufflepuff was my 2nd play through and seeing azkaban blew my mind. I so want to add my Patronus charm to this game

Stuck between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. I love the characters in Slytherin and the common room I also love snakes like a lot (even want one as a fellow pet someday) I love the entrance to the common room so much as it’s honestly the best, but I also love the common room for Ravenclaw but man snakes are awesome so are birds. Very hard choice and the fact Pottermore has me in as a Ravenclaw.

Imagine if you could redo the main storyline but with all of your current progress and knowledge, the whole thing would be so much easier, you would have the Unforgivable Curses, Level III Alohamora, your mounts, and complete mastery over your ancient magic.

Well for me all houses have unique and interesting stories although some prefer Hufflepuff for having an adventure in Azkaban I don't see much importance in the story each one contains but rather the interest and pride we feel for belonging to the house we have chosen. It's my opinion of course😅 All stories look intriguing but in my opinion our choice of home and family to which we will belong is what matters😊

As I am watching this, the thought keeps hitting my brain - a jackdaw is a bird that steals things - just like richard does. Thus he has a very fitting name IMO.

I bought one of the wands at Walmart and got bellatrix lestranges wand, and the sorting hat first put me in hufflepuff even though I choose gryfindor, I feel like I’m at heart, and destined to be a hufflepuff

Every quest should have had a different path for each house, the fact that the only thing it changes is one quest and outside of that a handful of dialogue options where the house names are basically interchangable and maybe one optional late game side quest.

Not gonna watch the video to avoid spoilers, but to me it's a big bonus that they are different: replay-ability baby! It's no fun to pay all the houses if the experience is too similar :)

Frankly I went Hufflepuff for my first playthrough (which I'm currently on) because I figured Gryffindor would be too much like Harry Potter (expected) and I didn't know if choosing Slytherin was going to bork my run or spoil things. I could have gone Ravenclaw, but that's more who I am naturally - so Hufflepuff felt the best choice not to be... me. Cool beans I picked well. Now if only I knew how to grow them I might make coffee. He can be both. Just going to say it. The two options you present are not mutually exclusive. Then again, apparently neither was he... Should've known better to lose his head over a girl.

I would have LOVED if there was more house exclusive content! It would have made it so much more appealing to replay the game, if it had multiple quests that would play out differently or people you could only meet if you were in another house. Obviously that would take a lot of time to do and would be unfortunate for the people only wanting to play once, but I would love to experience the different aspects but it just (to me) doesn't feel like enough to warrant playing the whole game over 3 more times, which is also part of the steam achievements for the game.

Still kind of regret I went with the first choice of the sorting hat, which gave me Ravenclaw, but I’ve grown to accept it. Im definitely going to play as Slytherin or Hufflepuff next playthrough.

I did Gryffindor, as I am a Gryffindor myself. It was nice to see Nick, he’s a familiar face after all. And I kinda felt bad for him too for getting bullied over not having fully lost his head when he wanted to belong to a group. Wasn’t a big fan of Richard, but it was fun finding his head in the pumpkins. Revelio’s a bit OP on that one XD. I do wish there was more to the story than Ghost bullying and hide-n-seek, though

i like ravenclaw due to jackdaw's quest not being locked behind the series of quests you have to do for the ghosts and instead only have to talk to Mr. Olivander and go to the owlry and solve a simple "puzzle" that not only is way faster, it also gives you a great view and plenty of gold.

And this is why i now have 4 different characters lol

I think it's a bit weird how everyone is over Hufflepuff nowadays. I just went along what the hat chose for me, which was Hufflepuff. The time you visit Azkaban is a very short one, but you can visit Azkaban no matter what house you are in. Just fight inside Hogwards and you will be send to Azkaban, without escape.

Why are people buggin' about what they "missed" out on. You get 4 characters and there are 4 houses. I don't see an issue here.

Hahaha yessssss! I love that I got hufflepuff. BTW while the exp is really cool, it's not like you can just walk around Azkaban. The experience is very linear but still by far the coolest part of my playthrough so far

I always wondered why they never taught us Expecto Patronum when we were in Azkaban. Now i know, none of the other houses went there and i guess it'd be unfair for only one house to get such a spell.

I'm a Hufflepuff and when i did that mission i did have no clue that having a look of azkaban was a unique part of my house experience. Although more than anything, i'm happy to be given the opportunity to known Anne, her History is really sad.
